Really struggling

I've been really struggling lately and I need prayer. I've been falling back into sin on and off for the past several weeks and it's taking a toll on me. I need strengthening, resolve, and cleansing from my sinful ways. For this I will certainly pray...

If any of you guys could pray for me whenver you can I would greatly appreciate it. Unfortunately, I don't belong to a church, don't have any friends, and don't want to talk about this with a close family member. You guys are pretty much all I have for any support here on earth.

Above all, my faith will not be moved. Although I am ashamed and feel unworthy before the Lord, I love Him and will praise Him night and day.

I admire your courage to confess like this. It tells me that you are sincere and want to be free. I'd suggest you ask the Lord to forgive you, and for Him to give you a hatred for this sin.
Father, I come to you with my friend, runningwings, and ask that you would free him from this besetting sin. Lord Jesus, I ask that You remind him that when we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I also ask that You would continue to remind him that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. I ask that You would fill him with Your comfort and the peace that surpasses all understanding. I ask in Jesus' name, amen! Shalom.

@runningwings the solution that keeps us from sinning is having the Holy Spirit which comes from service to the Lord God. When we attend church and serve others we receive the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). And that aids us to not sin. I attend church at the Catholic Parish down the street from my house, I also watch online Mass almost daily (CatholicTV Mass | CatholicTV | All Day - Every Day). I see Jesus standing in spirit above the congregation so I know he's there at church.

Anyways I will pray for you, but you should be doing your part if you will be successful. Unless you can't, then Jesus will judge us accordingly to our abilities.

Hello Runningwings,

Same here my friend just now actually sober today, which is praise worthy only to God. Though it is a choice for me to make as well to not use: Same thing with pornography: I tend to have it bad when it comes to that unless am living by the spirit. Had decided to practice my own fleshly worldly desire compared to feeding the spiritual.

So understand what you mean when it comes down to falling back or backsliding, thank God that God doesn't love us less when you, me, or whoever goes and does those things. Though what happens if the grieving on the spirit itself with-in us depending on how one may living their own life. Which means it is a matter of priority.

It's hard friend, glad to see that these people have encouraged you and that you are starting to have a better outcome.

Today have made a lesson on Freedom and Bondage which will be up later on that goes through a bit of Romans, and Galatians.

Thing that stood out the most in the presentation was this verse itself.

16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.


Verse 21: Was the verse that stood out the most because Paul says; that if a person who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God:

So a question a person can ask themselves is: What am I practicing? As individuals we make a choice to reap from the flesh or reap from the spirit.
