By the way: there is a Cat Island in Japan.

In Mombasa, on the coast of Kenya, there is (or perhaps was) a wonderful seafood restaurant, with picnic tables for the patrons. One can order a single, large fish for a group. Many placid (feral) cats wait patiently for the leftovers. There is something pleasantly peaceful about having cats hang around, yes?

Are cat cafes popular in your neck of the woods? There is one in Columbus, OH, that some of our family like to visit.

Yes, I do. Although I buy some tasty Amy's frozen dinners and they are vegetarian. Are you a vegetarian?

I think there's a cat cafe here but I don't go there.

If I was younger, I would probably get another cat. But not at my age....I don't have any family here to take care of it when I pass away.

Miss Kitty was 15 when she died in February. Some of my other cats died at 17.
