Jesus mentions only those who belong to Him in John 6:39-40, 44 when He speaks about the resurrection at the last day, and Paul mentions only those who belong to Christ when he mentions the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15:22-24; 1 Corinthians 15: 51-57 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Why?
And He had been clothed in a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
The marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself.
Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God.
The tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them. They serve Him day and night in His temple. And He sitting on the throne will dwell among them.
They will not hunger any more, nor thirst any more, nor will the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will feed them, and will lead them to the fountains of living waters. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.
To him who thirsts I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.
The nations of those who are saved will walk in the light of New Jerusalem; and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron.
I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands.
And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.
And when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison.
And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle. The number of them is as the sand of the sea.
And they went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.
He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.
But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
If anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
"Jesus Christ, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, .. .. the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God" (Luke 3:23-38).
Adam was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-28).
QUESTION: Before the fall of Adam, was Adam capable of sinning against God?
If there were (ever) to be a repeat of mankind being tested even while the sons of Adam are alive and living forever during the sabbath rest of God (following Satan in a rebellion as in Revelation 20:7-9), then there will be no 2nd sacrifice for sins, no 2nd resurrection of Christ (who IS the resurrection and the life), and therefore no 2nd resurrection from the 2nd death either
- but those who were beheaded for their testimony to Jesus, and for the Word of God, who refused to worship Satan or his beast, or the image of the beast (Revelation 13:4) were tested, and overcame. The 2nd death has no power over them. "Once saved, always saved" applies to them.
... The thousand years can be literal and take place in the new heavens and new earth
IMO there are too many scriptural problems with a-millennialism, post-millennialism and pre-millennialism, therefore it's difficult (if not impossible) to come to a conclusion about Revelation 20's millennium, and yet whether Preterists, Partial-Preterists, Futurists, Premillennialists, Amillennialist or Postmillennialists, the saints all consider themselves "experts" on the millennium, even though both John and Daniel were told,
"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he will begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He has declared to His servants the prophets." (Revelation 10:7).
"Go, Daniel! For the words are closed up and sealed until the end-time. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried. But the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." (Daniel 12:9-10).
