Jesus mentions only those who belong to Him in John 6:39-40, 44 when He speaks about the resurrection at the last day, and Paul mentions only those who belong to Christ when he mentions the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15:22-24; 1 Corinthians 15: 51-57 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Why?

=====================================
These verses have all been extracted from Revelation Chapters 7, 19, 20 & 21 and pasted here deliberately without scripture references so that you can view them only for their theme references:-

And He had been clothed in a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

The marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself.
Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God.

The tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them. They serve Him day and night in His temple. And He sitting on the throne will dwell among them.
They will not hunger any more, nor thirst any more, nor will the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will feed them, and will lead them to the fountains of living waters. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.
To him who thirsts I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.

The nations of those who are saved will walk in the light of New Jerusalem; and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.

Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron.

I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor his image, nor had received his mark on their foreheads, nor in their hands.

And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

And when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison.
And he will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle. The number of them is as the sand of the sea.

And they went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.

He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.
But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
If anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.

=====================================================

"Jesus Christ, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, .. .. the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God" (Luke 3:23-38).

Adam was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-28).

QUESTION: Before the fall of Adam, was Adam capable of sinning against God?

If there were (ever) to be a repeat of mankind being tested even while the sons of Adam are alive and living forever during the sabbath rest of God (following Satan in a rebellion as in Revelation 20:7-9), then there will be no 2nd sacrifice for sins, no 2nd resurrection of Christ (who IS the resurrection and the life), and therefore no 2nd resurrection from the 2nd death either
- but those who were beheaded for their testimony to Jesus, and for the Word of God, who refused to worship Satan or his beast, or the image of the beast (Revelation 13:4) were tested, and overcame. The 2nd death has no power over them. "Once saved, always saved" applies to them.

... The thousand years can be literal and take place in the new heavens and new earth

IMO there are too many scriptural problems with a-millennialism, post-millennialism and pre-millennialism, therefore it's difficult (if not impossible) to come to a conclusion about Revelation 20's millennium, and yet whether Preterists, Partial-Preterists, Futurists, Premillennialists, Amillennialist or Postmillennialists, the saints all consider themselves "experts" on the millennium, even though both John and Daniel were told,

"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he will begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He has declared to His servants the prophets." (Revelation 10:7).

"Go, Daniel! For the words are closed up and sealed until the end-time. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried. But the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." (Daniel 12:9-10).

The words (Thousand Years) are nothing more than explaining God's eternal realm, as 2 Peter 3:8 describes "One Day Is A Thousand Years" with the Lord, No rocket science whatsoever

Thanks for making me laugh.

What Peter said may be rocket science after all for those whose heads it goes over. Which is at least half the body of Christ :)

The words (Thousand Years) are nothing more than explaining God's eternal realm, as 2 Peter 3:8 describes "One Day Is A Thousand Years" with the Lord, No rocket science whatsoever

1. CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING

Notice the context - how Peter had been talking about the lawless deeds of false teachers and false prophets (chapter 2), and after speaking about how these will be utterly consumed when the Lord appears, and replaced with a New Heavens and a New Earth where righteousness dwells, he goes back in typical "Markan sandwich" style (a style that the Old and New Testaments are saturated with) to a final mention (2 Peter 3:16-18) of the lawless deeds of the false prophets and false teachers that he began speaking about in 2 Peter Chapter 2.

Destruction of ancient Babylon ("the nations" of the Babylonian Empire)

Isaiah 34:4:
And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled like a scroll; and all their host shall droop, as a leaf falls off from the vine, and as the falling from the fig tree.

Destruction of the nations

Revelation 16:13-14:
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Biblical apocalyptic literature contains a great amount of simile, metaphor and hyperbole all rolled into one: Isaiah is referring to the intensity of the calamity that would be experienced by the earth's inhabitants (in the case, those who lived in the territories of the great empire of Babylon, which covered all the known world in its day), when the day of the LORD was to come upon Babylon.

Isaiah 13:13:
So I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall move out of its place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.

Isaiah 34:8-10:
For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, the year to repay for the fighting against Zion. And its streams shall be turned into pitch, and its dust to brimstone, and its land shall become burning pitch. It shall not be put out night or day; its smoke shall go up forever. From generation to generation it shall lie waste; none passes through it forever and forever.

Revelation 14:10-11:
And he will be tormented by fire and brimstone before the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those who worship the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.

2. THE MEANING OF GREEK WORDS IS EVERYTHING

.. and the elements [stoicheîon] shall be dissolved with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The Greek word stoicheîon is found in these verses:- Galatians 4:3; Galatians 4:9; Colossians 2:8' Colossians 2:20; and Hebrews 5:12, and refers to the rudiments of men, the rudiments of this world.

.. the earth also and the works [érgon] that are therein shall be burned up.

In every one of the multitude of verses where it is found, the word érgon is referring to the works/deeds of God, or the works/deeds of Christ, or the works/deeds of men, or the works of the devil (most often it's talking about to the works of men), for example 1 Peter 1:17; 1 Peter 2:12; 2 Peter 2:8:-

There is a really long, long list of verses where the word is found. I'll see if I can list some of them here without exceeding my character limit for this post:-

Matthew 5:16 Matthew 11:2 Matthew 23:3 Matthew 23:5 Matthew 26:10 Mark 13:34 Mark 14:6 Luke 11:48 Luke 24:19 John 3:19 John 3:20 John 3:21 John 4:34 John 5:20 John 5:36 John 6:28 John 6:29 John 7:3 John 7:7 John 7:21 John 8:39 John 8:41 John 9:3 John 9:4 John 10:25 John 10:32 John 10:33 John 10:37 John 10:38 John 14:10 John 14:11 John 14:12 John 15:24 John 17:4 Titus 2:14 Revelation 2:2 Revelation 2:5 Revelation 2:6 Revelation 2:9 Revelation 2:13 Revelation 20:13 Acts 5:38 Acts 7:22 Acts 7:41 Acts 9:36 Acts 13:2 Acts 13:41 Acts 14:26 Acts 15:18 Acts 15:38 ..

... it goes on and on, and the word always refers to the works of men (the earth does not have works, rocks do not have works).

I can go on like that with each word used by Peter in those three verses.

So Peter is telling us that when Jesus returns the rudiments of this world and the works of men will be burned up, and replaced with a new heavens and a new earth, and in the context of all this, he says that one day is as a thousand years with the Lord. CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING:

Peter had been talking about the lawless deeds of false teachers and false prophets (chapter 2), and after speaking about how these will be utterly consumed when the Lord appears, and replaced with a New Heavens and a New Earth where righteousness dwells, he goes back in typical "Markan sandwich" style (a style that the Old and New Testaments are saturated with) to a final mention (2 Peter 3:16-18) of the lawless deeds of the false prophets and false teachers that he began speaking about in 2 Peter Chapter 2.

Why?

The salvation of nations often refer to *political salvation.* A nation is delivered from its enemies when that nation obeys God, when the nation is under covenant with God.

Those who are saved and have obtained eternal life are those destined for a resurrection to immortality. The passages relevant to these things reflect them.

QUESTION: Before the fall of Adam, was Adam capable of sinning against God?

How else did Adam fall than choosing to disobey before he fell?

Eschatology that's in left field, trying to lay a false foundation in National Salvation for a future Israel, Malarkey

Israel found its previous acceptance of God through animal blood sacrifice for sin

Israel and all Nations and individuals will only be accepted by God by receiving the finished work on Calvary to salvation "Period"!

Example: Hey Israel Randy says if you obey God, you will come into a covenant with him?

Randy doesn't explain to the reader the only way to obey God is to accept his Sons finished work on Calvary, and be added to the Church on earth

Randy presents the National good guy proposal to receive acceptance by God, sneaking around the cross of Calvary and becoming the Church, "Wrong"

The future millennium is book ended by resurrections... The first resurrection of God's people at the second coming of Jesus, who are then taken to heaven.
The 1000 years is an earthly Sabbath. Nothing on earth is alive after the plagues and earthquakes and upheavals of the final days, and those who perish at the "brightness of His coming". The earth itself hasn't had a rest for 6000 years... God will grant the planet it's Sabbath rest. During this time Satan and his demons are bound by their circumstances, confined to a dead planet with nothing to do.
At the end of the 1000 years the New Jerusalem chimes down out of heaven with all the saints inside. Then there is the second resurrection... The resurrection to damnation...of all the wicked who perished without Christ throughout all history. The are awakened to face their final judgement and are made aware of the true eternal impact of all their selfish decisions to reject Christ. Satan of course is now loosed from his bondage, and is free to work his last desperate attempt to save himself...compel the wicked, millions of them, to attack the city to take over the throne. Of course they fail, and fire comes down and destroys them all. The lake of fire also destroys the pollution, the cities, the demons and Satan himself, and the earth is returned to the state out was before creation... Void, empty, desolate. A raw canvas upon which God can create the new earth. The New Jerusalem becomes the capital of the universe, and sin and death is no more.
You guys are right. It isn't rocket science, it's quite simple. What makes it difficult is wrong applications that confuse and distort the whole picture.

The lack of rocket science is failing to see that 100 x 10 = 1,000 or "a thousand" or 10x10x10 = 1,000. A thousand means a thousand in that passage just like seven means seven throughout Revelation. It does not mean six or nine.

Also since Satan does not have access to Paradise, why would anyone think that he can test the saints in Paradise. One blunder after another.

It's not rocket science. God gave Satan access in paradise.

I used to be Premil. Till scripture made me realize that scripture does not have the New Heavens and New Earth following a thousand years after the return of Christ, and a thousand years after the resurrection of those who are Christ's - but immediately after the return of Christ.

But Amillenialists are wrong about their magic mouse cut 'n paste work with Revelation 20. Scripture doesn't allow either for "cut the thousand years out from a time following the return of Christ, and paste it into the 2,000 or more years in-between the Lord's ascension and His return". So both Amils and Premils have a dilemma.

So he had access to Adam in paradise, even while Adam was living forever during God's sabbath?

God permitting Satan one more time into paradise (i.e the new heavens and new earth) after releasing him one more time after a thousand years is the only way the thousand years can fit into a time after the return of Christ - because there is no way scripture teaches that the new heavens and new earth follows 1,000 years later, regardless of the fact that Premillennialism needed a solution to the dilemma of how the thousand years follows the return of Christ, and came up with the idea that the new heavens and new earth follows after the millennium.

You used the term "Paradise". But the Bible called it "the garden of Eden" when Adam was there. Paradise is now in Heaven, and Satan has no access to Paradise.

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Gen 2:15).

The new heavens and new earth is a permanent earthly sabbath - just like the very first sabbath in the Garden of Eden, before the fall of Adam. The new Jerusalem comes down to earth from heaven. There isn't actually any scripture teaching that the new heavens and new earth has to wait for another thousand years after Christ has returned.

You used the term "Paradise". But the Bible called it "the garden of Eden" when Adam was there. Paradise is now in Heaven, and Satan has no access to Paradise.

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Gen 2:15).
Yes and there will be a new "Garden of Eden" - but in a regenerated form - a new heavens and earth. Either way, it's still paradise - whether the first one, or the one to come. Where did Jesus tell the thief on the cross he would be? Heaven. @Enoch111 But New Jerusalem will come down to earth from heaven.

So you would have the following...KJV 2 Peter 3:12
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Destroying the new earth?
