Looking at and getting understanding of "the seed" may be the most important thing you can look at scripturally. It is the starting point in Christianity. Starting right is Paramount to a believer ending right, at least in understanding. As a matter of fact that is where your Christianity started. It all started the moment the father put another life (seed) in you, his seed Christ. Out of that seed will come your everything that you are. Salvation, eternal life, righteousness, sanctification, life, and all we know to be is in the seed. Believers have nothing on their own.
It will all be based on; the eternal plan of purpose of God for creation, Ephesians 1:4. The reason men/women breathe and exsist, the reason creation came into being. That is a very important part of your understanding because it is where you start. Our gospel does not start in the beginning (of time and creation), it does not start with a fall in the garden or even with Lucifer being thrown from heaven. Our gospel starts before anything was created. In the plan of God before creation; was to take a part of himself (the seed of God) and place it in the creature, Ephesians 1:4. That is what humanity needs to hear (the gospel). They know they are sinner's at least most do, and it should be apart of our gospel call but the full gospel, if you will, is the plan of God before the foundations of the world. The fullness of God is found before the foundations of the world.
Ephesians 1:4 says humanity was chosen to be in Christ. In other words if you were going to be a Christ-ian that would happen by Christ in you. What is a Christ-ian? A Christian is a person that has Christ in them, they have become a Christ-person now by the father by a birthing, born again, birthed. The birthing is Christ in you, Christ is birthed in the believer constituting a new creation. The placing of the seed of God in creation makes Creator God a father. He was already a father to Jesus Christ but now he is the father of all that will believe.
Remember Jesus was the first born among many brethren.
Do you know why a believer needs the understanding of "born again," it will allow them to move through scripture. If a Christian believes they still have a life of their own, or even worse they believe they still have a sin nature, they will spend all their precious time trying to figure where they fit in to life and Christianity. How to juggle the two, they either become so pious and religious (trying to keep from sin and be pleasing to God) no one can be around them, or they just give up and set themselves back into some kind of world life, work, education, hobbies, anything to distract themselves. That is what the scriptures call the world, you are given to those things and more.
Sinning on the part of a Christian comes from mind now not spirit. The spirit has been joined unto the Lord in birth, or at birth. The sin nature was killed out by Jesus on the cross. So all in Adam are as dead as Christ and the moment you believed you recieved the seed of God, a brand new life with the old life crucified, passed away. Only science trying to understand evil has given the notion that all sin or evil comes by a bad person or whatever conclusion they make. That is pretty much all they have to offer, it is your best bet to stay away from science when studying the scriptures if you want to know something because to understand scripture you will need to read it and get your information from the very source of all knowledge "the Holyspirit," He is the teacher in Christianity, he teaches by revelation and time, growing and understanding take time.
