Self, the vilest of creatures..
Knowing oneself is necessary in the going on with God....Knowing what it was that Christ shed His blood on the cross to save and free us from...This is a very necessary first step in the growing in Him...For until we know what it was we were saved from...Our salvation in Christ will be a distant thing, something separate from us, an add on, not our very life itself.. Something for the future, not something that is necessary for the immediate right now...
This seeing what we are in ourselves by nature, by our births from Adam...This must of necessity come first, otherwise the necessity of the Divine nature growing in us to the manifestation of itself, will be a thing known from the reading of the pages, but not known by experience in life.. It is this experience of the Divine nature actually being grown in us that is the Christ being formed in us that God is concerned about..
This manifestation of Himself in us, is what His heart is set upon...And this is what every heart that would go on with God cry’s after and for...The manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit being manifested in our lives in the ever present now... There is but one thing that prevents this from being known, felt, manifested in our lives for all to see....And that is us, the self life, the will to something other than righteousness in the ever present now...For the looking to and for the righteous thing in the ever present now is the looking for God’s will in the ever present set of circumstances...This looking for, does not mean the accomplishing of, but the hearts desire after it...This must come, than God in His time will bring the manifestation of it.. But our part is the desiring of it..
Once self is seen as the vileness of what it is, the desiring after the righteous thing, is the most natural and freeing and easy thing for the heart to grasp... Than the scripture that says;
“who shall deliver me from the body of this death”
is tasted, the heart jumps for joy, life has sprouted, the heart leaps into the arms of the One that has promised to free it from itself.... Joy, and joy unspeakable will be known, tasted, experienced...
To the heart that seeks it shall find..
A fellow seeker, Not me
