But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Now I believe the Bible is clear that the New Heaven and New Earth is an entirely physical place here on this earth.
God will make all things new.
That said the above two scriptures seem to support there being evil-doers left on the earth. The "outside the gates" statement seems to be a clearly physical reference that outside of the gates will be evil doers. They could pollute the water and do all sorts of sin-tainted things to the New Earth so how does one reconcile these statements?
