15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
We have not recieved the spirit of bondage again to fear. You know what that is saying; the sin nature kept you in bondage with no escape, and in it was the root of fear. Not all fear is bad especially when it keeps you from being in harms way. But the fear that polarize's people and can cause them to freeze in their tracks, is a tormenting fear that has been derived from the sin nature. All anger, violence, torment, and the list goes on and on, comes from fear. Do you know what drives the worst of the worst, who look like they have no fear, "fear."
You know what causes mankind the trouble they get into no matter the situation you can think of, "fear."
Fear is the root of the sin nature, you know why people have ten locks on their front door, to appease their fear. If someone wants in your home, car, or cause you harm, you will not stop it. You know why gun sales have always been good, and every good advertising firm uses fear to get you to buy it's product.
"If you neglect to get this pill or take this vitimin or drink this, well you could very well stay sick."
Fear! It's all based on fear, a good salesman knows a good dose of psychology goes a long way. Why do you suppose infomercials out number sports programming on Saturday morning. Have you got it, fear has taught you fear. The spirit of fear has taught you to fear, who was it the said "there is nothing to fear but fear it self." Well that is partially true, it was the spirit of fear for the believer. You know why your fears are stronger today than ever? Because the spirit of fear that trained you to be a fearful, full of fear type person. I dont care how strong you feel you are, fear is your companion. There is an escape!
