Ephesians 4:23,
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Christianity is long past the feelings and emotions. Christianity is a knowing, I know in whom I believe. You know who you are, you may have some kind of a feeling because of feelings, but Christianity is a flat out knowing. There is no end to your understanding and knowing, why? Because our father has an unlimited knowledge, He is infinite. So the the things of our father has no end. Think on this, as creator God almighty the scripture says "he spoke and it was, he commanded and it stoodfast."
All of creation came about by the word of his mouth. I'm amazed at those that get a little taste knowledge and become all knowing, the god complex in humanity will always raise it's head to be seen. So our father who created all things by Christ now all of the sudden is going to need religion to further this thing along and keep it rocking on. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof."
So the mind that can come with Christianity is far beyond carnal comprehension, beyond what you can ask or think scripture says. That is really powerful since the mind plays out all kind of vivid imaginations. Christianity is 90 percent psychology, once born again mind renewal begins. Once born again it is not the spirit that needs attention it is the soul-mind. Christianity is made up of a life time of soul-mind renewal. "Allow this mind in you that was in Christ Jesus-we have the mind of Christ."
What scripture portrays is "the born again have available to them the mind of Christ." As you have discovered that mind did not fall into your lap the moment you got born again. You will search the scripture for in them you will find the mind of Christ. Those that have no respect for the written word of God do not understand that is where the mind of Christ is, and those that mock have become fools to their own end.
Without the written word there is no mind of Christ. Without the mind of Christ Christians look no different than any other race or gentile the scripture says. The words know, known, knoweth, and so on, have to do with mind renewal and are used 185 times in the Apostle Paul's epistles alone. 85 times in the book of John, 19 times in 1-2 Peter, James 8 times, 1-2-3 John 33 times, Jude 1 time, Revelations 15 times, and all of the New Testiment 496 times.
Mind renewal is imperative to Christianity, without it there is no difference between any other race. Christians can act like anyone else, when the truth is we are not like anyone else or other gentiles, we have Christ in us.
