The Holy Bible is a Spiritual book filled with Light and Life, Truth and Wisdom.
Its a living book. Its alive because it contains and administers the word of God.
The word of God is alive, and the bible is the word of God.
Jesus is the WORD made flesh.
Because the bible is not just words on a page, but rather its God Breathed Light that you can read, .. it will remain only locked spiritual words until you are born again.
God tells you to study it. He does not tell you to read it.
The Word of God is a Spiritual book, filled with spiritual words that can only be revealed to the born again Spirit.
The Bible, which is The Light that is to be revealed as revelation, is only revealed by Christ in you.
How does He do this?
Well, before you are born again, The Holy Spirit uses the "preaching of the word" "the preaching of the Cross" "The Gospel of the Grace of God", or as Paul defines it 3x..as "my Gospel"... to cause faith to become aware in you.
"Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God".
Many people are trying to please God by keeping commandments, and being water baptized, and by worrying about the Law, and by being misled by their cult, or much of what Calvin taught or much of what the "cult of mary" and others, have you on a mental chain, performing for them.
However, God says you please Him by "Faith", not by works. Hebrews 11:6.
In fact, its is impossible to please God by water baptism, works, church membership, law keeping, and commandment keeping... tho billions do try it., and many preach it as their false Gospel.
When you are born again, Jesus comes to live in you, and you become in Spiritual Union with Jesus.
This is..."Christ in you the hope of Glory", and to be born again is to become a "New Creation" IN Christ". 'ONE with God".
Paul says that the word of God is "spiritually discerned"......this means its not available to the natural mind, the carnal mind or the open mind.
Its only available to be understood, as Spiritual discernment. And that happens only by the Spirit of God that is in union with the born again Spirit in a true believer.
And when a person is not truly born again, then they have no Born Again Spirit that can discern the revelation, the Light of the Spirit of God, that is the Bible.
So, they read it, and they wrestle with it, and they pretend to understand it and teach it.. They try to use their thinking to figure it out.
And the same deceived often become Theologians, and they build Churches, Denominations, and similar.

The word of God declares that Jesus is all wisdom and knowledge and truth and eternal life.
So because Jesus is in you, if you are born again, and not just water baptized and pretending to be a Christian..... Christ reveals the Light of the word as revelation to your born again spirit.
This is what is meant by, "the word of God is spiritually discerned". and .. "He that is spiritual judges all things"..
