How can I live the Christ-led life today ? This is an oft-occurring question . One answer is do not permit anything to come between you and Christ or another person . To live this life means more than conversion- it takes daily discipline . We must daily be solicitous of His leadership and instruction . Anything we think upon too long can become a problem . Are you annoyed by the attitudes and actions of another ? The answer: " Who is he that will harm you , if ye be followers of that which is good ? " 1 Peter 3:13 . Are you physically sick or spiritually heartsick ? The answer: " Confess your faults one to another , and pray one for another , that ye may be healed . The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much , " James 5:16 Do family responsibilities , even love for family , present a barrier to the close walk with Christ ? The answer: " And everyone that hath forsaken houses , or brethern , or sisters , or fathers , or mothers , or wife , or children or lands , for my name's sake , shall recieve an hundredfold , and shall inherit everlasting life , " Matthew 19:29 . Your mind is the guardian of your thoughts . Build the Christ-consciousness that as you go about your daily tasks , you will step by step , automatically feel His guiding Spirit . This will make it difficult for thoughts of fear , criticism . doubt or confusionto press in . It is the work of satan to build stumbling blocks . The joy of Christ's presence , with nothing between , is the way . 1 Peter 5 : 1-14 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.5:13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.5:14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.Dear Father , enable us to realize that as many as are led by the Spirit of God , they are the sons of God . :amen:
