After Jesus baptism and anointing with the Holy Spirit he said this...,
Mk 1
14 Now after John [the Baptist] was arrested and taken into custody, Jesus went to Galilee, preaching the good news of [the kingdom of] God, 15 and saying,
“The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, abiding trust] in the good news [regarding salvation].”

What appointed time was Jesus referring to ?

What do you think?
I will share my thoughts later.

God bless.

Jesus spoke of the commencement of the end of the flesh and the beginning of the Spirit. Thus, the coming of the kingdom of God, whom is spirit.

This is where the passage, in "Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive (1 Corinthians 15:22) and "so as to create in Himself one new man) Ephesians 2:15)", are to be taken to heart...and literally, all in Christ.

The appointed time was when week 69 was fulfilled.

The 70th week didn’t start with Jesus’s baptism, it started when John the Baptist was put in prison. Elias (John the Baptist) must come first.

I don’t know why so many people insist Jesus’s ministry started with His baptism, but to me that idea doesn’t work. I have had debates over this in the past, I’m interested in what appointed time you think it was.

Matthew 4:12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus never preach when He was baptized, He went directly into the wilderness for forty days. Only after John the Baptist was imprisoned did Jesus start His ministry and begin to confirm the covenant.

How could all seventy weeks have already been fulfilled when Jesus spoke the words of Mark 1:15? Did John the Baptist confirm the covenant in week 70?

Hello @jeffweeder,

You know I just kind of remember something, I got my thompson chain right in front of me but it's closed. I at one time started to look into these things and post videos concerning them, I believe if I am right, which I am naturally always wrong. This time of fulfilment concerning the coming of John the baptist, that the nation of Israel would understand to be from Malachi. This would be an onset of also the coming "day of the LORD" which destruction would follow.

Daniel 9:24-27 (NKJV):

24 "Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.

26 And after the sixty-two weeks,
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate."

In Daniel 9:24-27, the angel Gabriel explains to Daniel a timeline for the future of Israel, known as the Seventy Weeks Prophecy. This prophecy spans 490 years (70 weeks), divided into three sections: 7 weeks (49 years), 62 weeks (434 years), and a final week (7 years). The prophecy starts with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and ends with the coming of the Messiah, His death, and the destruction of Jerusalem and its Temple.

In Daniel 9:25, Gabriel says that from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem until the coming of the Messiah, there will be 69 weeks (or 483 years). This is where we see a connection to historical events. The decree of Artaxerxes I in 457 B.C. is commonly recognized as the command to rebuild Jerusalem, which is when the prophecy begins. Adding 483 years to 457 B.C. brings us to around A.D. 28, the time when Jesus began His public ministry. This is the moment the prophecy points to when it says "Messiah the Prince" will come.

Hello @jeffweeder

Thompson Chain Reference Guide

1343 Fullness of Time -> Galatians 4:4 is the next set from Mark 1:15. (This also infers Malachi's prophecy as well.)

Joshua 6:16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Luke 2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

John 7:8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.

John 7:30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.

Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

(The fullness of the time did come.)
Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

1 Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

1 Timothy 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Titus 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

Hebrews 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

Hebrews 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

The key being, when was Messiah anointed. There's nothing in the prophecy that hints at. Messiahs ministry, it just says, "until Messiah the Prince". You are correct, the command from Artexerxes was in 457AD, and remembering that there is no year 0, the count of 483 years takes us to 27ad. This was the precise year of Jesus's baptism according to all the information we have, particularly in the gospel of Luke.

Thank you all for your replies.
The appointed time was all about Jesus coming to secure our salvation once and for all.

Matthew 1:21
She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (The Lord is salvation), for He will save His people from their sins.”

Dan 9
24 “Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] [e]have been decreed for your people and for your holy city (Jerusalem),

to finish the transgression,
to make an end of sins,
to make atonement (reconciliation) for wickedness,
to bring in everlasting righteousness (right-standing with God),
to seal up vision and prophecy and prophet,
and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Luke 4
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah),
Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy),
19
to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly].”

The time is fulfilled and it is finished.

Once the good news is fully preached to all peoples of the world, there is another day appointed when the end shall come.

Acts 17
30 Therefore God overlooked and disregarded the former ages of ignorance; but now He commands all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives], 31 because He has set a day when He will judge the inhabited world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed and destined for that task, and He has provided credible proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

The day of vengeance.

2Thess 1
4 Therefore, we speak of you with pride among the churches of God for your steadfastness [your unflinching endurance, and patience] and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecution and [crushing] distress which you endure. 5 This is a positive proof of the righteous judgment of God [a sign of His fair verdict], so that you will be considered worthy of His kingdom, for which indeed you are suffering.
6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with distress those who distress you, 7 and to give relief to you who are so distressed and to us as well when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in a flame of fire, 8 dealing out [full and complete] vengeance to those who do not [seek to] know God and to those who ignore and refuse to obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus [by choosing not to respond to Him].

Heb 9
11 But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation. 12 He went once for all into the Holy Place [the Holy of Holies of heaven, into the presence of God], and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, having obtained and secured eternal redemption [that is, the salvation of all who personally believe in Him as Savior].

15 For this reason He is the Mediator and Negotiator of a new covenant [that is, an entirely new agreement uniting God and man], so that those who have been called [by God] may receive [the fulfillment of] the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has taken place [as the payment] which redeems them from the sins committed under the obsolete first covenant.

but now once for all at the consummation of the ages He has appeared and been publicly manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this [comes certain] judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him.

Heb 12
25 See to it that you do not refuse [to listen to] Him who is speaking [to you now]. For if those [sons of Israel] did not escape when they refused [to listen to] him who warned them on earth [revealing God’s will], how much less will we escape if we turn our backs on Him who warns from heaven?

26 His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the [starry] heaven.”

27 Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; 29 for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire.

God bless you all

Thats when he was anointed with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 4
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah),
Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor.
Yes, Jesus received the Holy Spirit at His baptism, but that was a temporary situation. When Jesus died, He was alone and forsaken, the oil was not hurt (Revelation 6:6)

When we look at the Daniel 9:24 list, if we place “to anoint the most Holy” as being fulfilled when Jesus was baptized then that would be the only item on the list that was temporal.

To me it makes sense to place “to anoint the most Holy” with the true Church receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. That event was eternal, the Holy Spirit doesn’t ever leave the Church.
