Revelation 2:17
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
All will have a new name.
Exodus 32:32-33
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
Psalm 32:2
Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
So this is my understanding.
We will all have a new name, individual to us, which no one else knows. This will be the name by which God calls us. This is the name He has written in His book, the Book of Life.
The Book of Life, not endless repetitions of John Able Smith, John Abble Smith, and so on, but our special names, our unique names.
But what when sin is imputed to those who will not avail themselfs of our Redeemer? Their sin is imputed, and that special name, that unique name that identifies one unique person, who was created by God for love, that special person with the potential for God's delight would they only believe . . . this one is blotted out.
I wonder, does that hurt Him?
Much love!
