The covenant of wealth is an agreement between God and His people in which God promises that He will provide for and heal His people. The covenant was God’s idea and not mans.

To read more and to get free access to financial increase information click on the link at the bottom of this page.

Deuteronomy 8:18 but you shall remember the Lord your God: for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish (continue) his covenant which he swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and it is still the same today.

The word wealth, as translated in this verse means plenteous in goods. And if you don’t mind my saying so what this really means is that it is God’s will and covenant for us to have plenty of good stuff.

Now don’t get crazy on me, this does not necessarily mean that God wants everyone to be a millionaire but it does mean that God wants us to have nice things. I realize that people have a hard time with this but as you read through the Bible you will discover that God’s Word shows that it is his will for us to be prosperous. God never wants us to be poor.

Money is not evil but the love of money is evil. I know rich people who love money and I know poor people who love money and it is evil in both cases. It is not noble to be poor because the Bible even tells us in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 that poverty and sickness is a curse.

Jesus said in John 10:10 I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. I say that if Jesus came so that we could have an abundant life the least we can do is live an abundant life.

Someone has to pay the bills and people who have more than enough money are the people who pay the bills. It takes money for evangelism, to keep the lights on in the church, to send a television signal which carries the gospel into other countries, to pay the preacher and to feed the poor.

The rule of thumb is from Matthew chapter 6:33 when Jesus said, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and everything you need will be given to you. This is not poverty. Having everything you need given unto you is prosperity and that is what Jesus said we could and should have.

The covenant of wealth is a promise God made to Abraham and it is still in effect today for all Christians who are sons and daughters of Abraham according to Galatians chapter 3:7-9 which says that people of faith are the children of Abraham and are blessed with faithful Abraham. What a wonderful promise.

Wow, absolutely incredible. What a bunch of rubbish. Tell this to all those poor souls throughout the centuries that died pennyless and in much persecution but rich in the word of God. Our wealth is not measured in material things but how much of the word o God we have, enjoy and live no matter how much we have. Prosperity gospel nonsense.

Mar 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called [unto him] his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all [they] did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, [even] all her living.

Faith is what makes us rich, not money.

Greg many good Christians are struggling with debt because of this horrible economy. But no matter. Through He will slay me yet I will trust Him.

However I'm referring to how this prosperity Gospel is all about satisfying material needs for personal gain instead of what God really wants to give and increase for. God will bestow wealth and riches on those He expects to use it to help their fellow man. As long as a person is seeking material wealth for personal gain and not the work of God then the message is skewed. As a result we have a world of Christians that life in the worst poverty and famine possible. Seeking material wealth while ignoring these is completely against the word of God.

God never promised anyone they would be rich in material goods but that they would have life more abundantly through Jesus Christ. There is a huge difference.

Gregg you seem to be slightly misinformed about the economy of this country and how it works. Our economy is based on debt and that is the only way one can participate in the economy. By agreeing to become assurance for the debt each and every American becomes responsible for the general debt. Federal Reserve Notes are evidence of that debt. If you have $50,000 in Federal Reserve Notes that is evidence of the debt held and those debt instruments can be traded for other things that represent the debt.

    http://www.usavsus.info/US--DebtCurrency.htm

So every American is actually "in debt" whether they be 8 or 80. If they have an SS number they are participants in the debt based currency system whether they recognize it or not!
I don't know about you but most Christians are actually struggling with debt as is the rest of this country.

Which is exactly what the prosperity movement does. It ties God's blessings and favor on monetary/wealth status just like the Jews did in Christ's time. Jews believed the better you did monetarily and wealth wise the more you were blessed. The modern prosperity movement teaches the same thing. God actually stands for ATM.

I know so many blessed and wonderful Christians that are struggling mightily with their finances and will praise God all day long for their situation. If Christ suffered we can be sure we will as well. BTW you might want to show your Heavenly Father some respect and capitalize His name. The uncapitalized "g" in god refers to pagan gods. Show Him some respect.

Of course. This does not mean that He will deem it necessary to bless me with material wealth and riches.

    Uh, no He didn't.

All you prosperity gospel preachers are the same. "Give me your 'seed gift' and you'll receive a blessing." Doesn't make a difference that this is so untrue it's not funny it also borders on blasphemy.

Prosperity gospel propentants claim that the conduit through which believers receive Abraham’s blessings is faith. And yet this completely ignores the Biblical teaching that the Abrahamic covenant was an unconditional covenant but contingent upon one man’s (Abraham) obedience. We partake in the faith of Abraham by believing that Christ our Savior died for us to reconcile man back to God, for God was reconciling man back to Himself through Christ. None of these promises involve giving $10 bucks to a husker preacher on TV with the hopes of getting $1,000!

Christian faith involves trust in the person of Jesus Christ, the truth of His teaching, and the redemptive work He accomplished at Calvary. Nothing more. Kenneth Copeland once wrote that “faith is a spiritual force, a spiritual energy, a spiritual power. It is this force of faith which makes the laws of the spirit world function. . . . There are certain laws governing prosperity revealed in God’s Word. Faith causes them to function. This is total hogwash! Faith is simply believing in God no matter what. Whether one be poor or one be rich faith in God has nothing to do with financial status or material wealth and neither are evidence of having "more faith" than another.

Churches and pastors that appeal to people and teach that believing in Jesus will net a financial blessing and gain are seriously messing with the word of God.

I'm extremely wealthy because I have the truth of God's word.
    Right back at ya "slick."

Oh, please brother, give it a rest. There are countless numbers of Christian that have died from all manner of disease that was of no fault of their own. Was God not blessing these? Have you not read where Satan bowed the woman over crooked as a Chicago politician?

Luke 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

Anyone that thinks that God blesses people more than some is repeating the same beliefs of the Jews of Jesus' day. Our blessing are not tied to our material wealth.

I am irked. Here we have a "pastor", possibly, posting on a "Covenant of Wealth" which was never promised to anyone but those who kept all the Law and ordinances, and is not found as a covenant in the Scriptures. It is not truth, it is fabrication and wishfulness based upon lust of the flesh. It matters not how devout and pure a person may be, if the Gospel they preach and reach people with is about money. It is sickening. There is a man Who died a filthy, humiliating, and torturous death on a pole in order to ransom us, the ungodly. Is that so far from this persons mind and heart that playing with money is more serious a concern?

Paul died penniless. He subjected himself to terrors and evils, beatings and near-death encounters, in order to show the pattern of what a believers' life could produce if yielded to God. Those that live devoutly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. The whole prosperity teaching is a mockery of the living God and His Son, who emptied Himself to redeem us. Such a focus as money and wealth and the things that pertain to this life is an indication of a soul that is in bondage to the flesh, and numb to the Spirit of God and His Son's resurrection power. I pity this one.

As if God somehow will neglect to provide sufficiently for our needs, even abundantly so, and we must look for the tangible to prove our progress in Him. How stupid.

what holds you in bondage, what has dominion over you? we have been set free.if you allow satan to rob you and steal from you the things Jesus has set you free from so be it. but for me these things have no hold on me,even though i live among them they have no part with me. except all his sacrifices or just pick out the ones that suit you. owe no man nothing but to love him-was this just a suggestion? you are the servant of the man you owe. you can only have one master that is christ Jesus you can't serve two.

 all that they would believe for. how much did the wise men bring? add it up.

Haven't you heard? Christians are in a battle for their very souls with the enemy of God. This is an extremely difficult battle and those that choose Christ place a distinct target on their back for the enemy to see and they enemy will use any means necessary to cause the Christian to fail.

It is ridiculous and extremely insulting quite frankly (considering all the Christians struggling in this world) to equate "bondage" with not having a Mercedes or a Land Rover. Material wealth without Jesus is bondage.

Jesus has set the Christian free from worry over material wealth.

You sound as if you could be one of those preachers that tie material wealth and blessings to God's favor; a doctrine never taught in scripture.

Accepted. But then again you aren't preaching this and above all you fail to realize that money and possessions in this country is merely a sign of how much "debt" is owed to the Federal Reserve.

Then why are you preaching such a false gospel as the prosperity message?

Are you Jesus? Should your flock bring you gifts?

So you are telling me that if one is poor but has a wonderful love of Christ and lives for Him they are in bondage? You need help.

Post number one in this thread is typical of one person who makes one post with one motive .

They try to convince people they can be rich by making them rich.

That is all the prosperity gospel has ever been.

It is a sucker's game and Christian's can sometimes be the biggest suckers.

    Are you ?

    Martin.
