Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Some say that the sons of God in the verse above refers to fallen angels, who, with the daughters of men, bore children.

Who were the sons of God in this passage?

Genesis 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

In the above verse we can read that men began to call upon the name of the Lord.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

I think that by applying Romans 10:13, and 1 John 3:2, it can be determined that the men of Genesis 4:26 are the sons of God. These men were of God, saved because they called upon the name of the Lord.

Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Note that the verse above says there were giants in the earth at the time that the sons of God bore children with the daughters of men, and also after that. Therefore, it could not have been the fallen angels that produced these giants, since, the giants were already present when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men.

The answers are in the New Testament.

2 PETER 2 -- THE ANGELS THAT SINNED

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell [Tartarus], and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds. 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

JUDE 1 6-8 THE ANGELS WHICH KEPT NOT THEIR FIRST ESTATE

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

In the Old Testament, only angels are called "sons of God" in Genesis and Job. It is never used as a term for the righteous in the OT, since it is only after the regeneration of sinners under the New Covenant that they become sons of God, and that happened only after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

The passages above refer to the angels in Genesis 6 who are called "sons of God" (being direct creations of God), and who are CONTRASTED with the daughters of men. Angels are invariably masculine in Scripture, and no doubt took th form of men in order to cohabit with women and produce giants and men of renown. They are mentioned along with Sodom and Gomorrah since in both cases these were sexual sins -- "fornication" and "going after strange flesh" (unnatural sexual relations).

The "sons of God", simply refers to sons born of the spirit. God is spirit. Yet, in Job we read that even Satan was among the sons of God.

Nonetheless, Genesis referring to "daughters", refers to children after the fall, not to the saved of God.

The sons of God passage coming unto the daughters of men, simply refers to the fact that every spirit (good or bad) was made manifest in the world, the wheat as well as the tares. Which like the parable, is merely metaphoric language, that hearing they should not hear, and seeing they should not see, except those who are of the spiritual lineage of God, as chosen.

Addressing the OP only.

correct, the "sons of God here are not angels, but those who was led by the Spirit before men began to call unpon the name of the Lord. those who was BORN of the Spirit in the Garden before Adam and Eve sinned.

understand, there are two generations or seeds on this planet, good and evil ones. and yes, there are those born one of the Spirit in the Garden by Adam and Eve, and those born of men, (in sin) outside the garden, hence the title "daughter" of men.

as to the Giants, it gives the answer there in the chapter, Genesis 6:4 "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown". these mighty men, who David has a division or garrison of was men who made a NAME/renown, meaning they made a name for themselves by killing. hence the reason why it repented God that he made man on the earth. scripture, Genesis 6:5 "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:6 "And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart".

conclusion: A. Adam and Eve has children in the Garden before they sinned. B. the Giants that was became KNOWN as "Mighty Men". just read about David's "mighty men" and Giants in the bible.

Not very likely if you stick with the narrative in the Bible. It was only AFTER the Fall that Cain was born to Adam and Eve. So there goes your theory.

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. And Adam knew [had intercourse with] Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. (Gen 3:24;4:1).

In any even, the Bible makes it perfectly clear that righteousness is not inherited, neither is it a given that a righteous father will have a righteous son, or vice versa. So the so-called "line of Seth" is PURE FANTASY.

The first mention of “sons of the true God” is at Genesis 6:2-4. There such sons are spoken of as ‘beginning to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose,’ this prior to the global Flood.

Many commentators hold that these ‘sons of God’ were themselves human, being in reality men of the line of Seth. They base their argument on the fact that Seth’s line was that through which godly Noah came, whereas the other lines from Adam, that of Cain and those of any other sons born to Adam (Ge 5:3, 4), were destroyed at the Flood. So, they say that the taking as wives “the daughters of men” by “the sons of the true God” means that Sethites began to marry into the line of wicked Cain.

There is, however, nothing to show that God made any such distinction between family lines at this point. Corroborating Scriptural evidence is lacking to support the view that intermarriage between the lines of Seth and Cain is what is here meant, or that such marriages were responsible for the birth of “mighty ones” as mentioned in verse 4. It is true that the expression “sons of men [or “of mankind”]” (which those favoring the earlier mentioned view would contrast with the expression ‘sons of God’) is frequently used in an unfavorable sense, but this is not consistently so.—Compare Ps 4:2; 57:4; Pr 8:22, 30, 31; Jer 32:18, 19; Da 10:16.

Angelic sons of God: On the other hand, there is an explanation that finds corroborating evidence in the Scriptures. The expression “sons of the true God” next occurs at Job 1:6, and here the reference is obviously to spirit sons of God assembled in God’s presence, among whom Satan, who had been “roving about in the earth,” also appeared. (Job 1:7; see also 2:1, 2.) Again at Job 38:4-7 “the sons of God” who ‘shouted in applause’ when God ‘laid the cornerstone’ of the earth clearly were angelic sons and not humans descended from Adam (as yet not even created). So, too, at Psalm 89:6 “the sons of God” are definitely heavenly creatures, not earthlings.—See GOD(Hebrew Terms).

Supporting this are the apostle Peter’s references to “the spirits in prison, who had once been disobedient when the patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days” (1Pe 3:19, 20), and to “the angels that sinned,” mentioned in connection with the “ancient world” of Noah’s time (2Pe 2:4, 5), as well as Jude’s statement concerning “the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place.” (Jude 6) If it is denied that “the sons of the true God” of Genesis 6:2-4 were spirit creatures, then these statements by the Christian writers become enigmatic, with nothing to explain the manner in which this angelic disobedience took place, or its actual relation to Noah’s time.

Yes, that is what it says, however we these parameters in Gen. 3:16 - "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."
If Eve hadn't had any children previously this curse would be meaningless as she wouldn't have had anything to compare it with and how can you multiply something from nothing? I believe she and Adam had hundreds or thousands of kids before the fall, as they were in an eternal state. We are only told of Cain because he was the first child born after the fall, when time and death began. Understanding this, answers the mysteries of who Cain's "others" were and who the sons of God were, children born before the fall.

Imo, the sons of God were fallen angels;
One problem with that assessment. if the fallen angels was imprisoned after this incident in Genesis 6, why did this happen again? Genesis 6:4 "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown".

the bible clearly disput that ERROR of fallen angels with women.

but the verse that really destroys this thinking, Hebrews 1:5 "For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?".

angels are not "Begotten", nor do they wear the "Title" sons of God. God said "at any time" is not Genesis chapter 6 is a time?

ok, if angels are begotten, give one verse?.

as said in the video, matthews 22:30 destroys this notions. if "got questions" would have went back up to verse 23 and read down to verse 30 they would have seen their mistake. it's not about marriage only, but the reproduction in marriage. that's their mistake, angels don't reproduce, fallen or not.

and also as said, the bible refute all those claims. just study your bibles you will see where these giants came from..... ordinary humans men and women biologically produce thos giants mention in the bible. just read your bibles. all giants rendered in the bible can be traced back to human parents.

Surely if this was the case, we would have seen it stated in the Bible. But the time between Creation and the Fall appears to be very brief. Also, the only way to interpret Gen 3:16 about multiplication of sorrow is that had Adam and Eve remained obedient, childbirth would have been painless. It would appear that for animals it is painless, but for humans it is not.

wherein we can see your point being made imo, as the daughters (of Jerusalem) of men prefer to believe that they know exactly what will happen to them after He appears or after death, and never Quote this v or even acknowledge it, etc

Why do you think it isn't? Maybe that is exactly who the sons of God are and he counts on us to use our brains to figure that out. Or, maybe it's none of our business and we only need to concern ourselves with what God has revealed to us. The world couldn't contain the books about what Christ did and you expect every nuance of creation to be summed up in a couple of chapters. There are so much that we don't know about what God did and didn't do during creation that two worlds couldn't contain them. The bible just gives us the highlights, I believe there are possibly tens of thousands of years between the creation and fall. Do you think that God did such a bad job that they would both fall in such a short time? Personally, I give God a little more credit than that!

I myself see nothing in the scriptures that from the time God created Adam and to the rebellion or the fall into sin of Adam and Eve, that tens of thousands of years past. This is spectulation. It's dangerous to speculate on the scriptures. We need to have scriptural evidence on something when we talk of the scriptures. Don't get me wrong, I agree with reasoning on the scriptures, but we still need to have some kind of scriptural evidence to back up what we're reasoning on.

you're 100% correct, Adam was a son of God, so was his OFFSPRING in the Garden before they, (adam and eve) sinned. this is why we must be "BORN AGAIN".

the bible is written for and to the fallen line from Adam.

Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

In the Hebrew manuscripts, the phrase "daughters of men" includes the article and particle in front of the word aadam, which usually is pointing to a specific aadam, like the man Adam which God placed in His Garden to til the soil. Most likely, those "sons of God" (angels) went after the daughters of the man Adam, to taint the Seed line of the Woman that Christ would be born through. There were many attacks on the Seed that Jesus would be born through all throughout OT history, even down to king Herod trying to murder baby Jesus.

Some say that the sons of God in the verse above refers to fallen angels, who, with the daughters of men, bore children.
....

The phrase "sons of God" should be seen as a reference to the heavenly image body, since the Book of Job shows it was a label for the angels in OT times, and also a label for those in Christ promised eternal Life, which will involve the change to our spiritual body per 1 Cor.15.

Gen 6:4
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
KJV

The phrase "and also after that" simply means there was an irruption of those giant hybrids in Noah's day, and also after the flood, which is shown later in the OT when Israel discovered them in the lands of Canaan (Rephaim, etc.).

The phrase "men of renown" means 'men of the name', i.e., 'men of the legend'. What legends? The old mythologies of gods, like from Greek mythology.

Gen 6:9
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

KJV

The Hebrew word for "perfect" is the same Hebrew word used for the physical purity of sacrificial animals required under the old covenant. So the matter definitely was about the angels coming down to earth and taking wives of the daughters of Adam, and the result was a seed of hyprid-race giants who were much larger than humans.

Angels are neither male nor female.

At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. Matt 22:30

The KJV is quoted to show sons of God mean Angels. The actual translation should be Angels. Just one of many mistakes by the KJV.

As well Adam was called son of God. Was he an angel?

The fallen angels were and are bound in the Pit per Jude.

Sons of God is not limited to Angels, it includes those in relationship with God.

Nephilim existed throughout the Old Testament.

This whole theory has zero biblical proof.
