Good summary, but I would add the texts in the Gospel of John where Jesus says that the three Persons are ONE God, a very important Mystery for people to realize.

However, the Trinity is the key doctrine that sets Christians apart from all other religions. Why we can't discuss that amazing mystery is beyond me.
Correct brother-a key doctrine that sets Christians apart from all other religions.

It sets them apart all right . Look at what Jesus told even the unbelieving jews who said GOD is our Father .
Ye are of your father the devil . always remember interfaith is of the dark one and has now led
to the lie . Let us keep that in mind .
If even the jews did not get a pass i can promise the false religoins like muslim and etc WONT EITHER .
I do have a lovely challenge for all today
Go back to the gospels , to acts and to the letters of the apostels . SEE how often they spoke of the DIRE NEED
to BELIEVE . and then ask yourself , WELL how come todays church age DONT and rather
just tries to merge .

on JESUS the CHRIST
cause as john once wrote , He who BELIEVES NOT the testimony GOD gave of the SON , HIMS CALLS GOD HIMSELF a liar .
and if one calls GOD a liar , YOU gotta know THERE IS NO TRUTH IN THEM . interfaith is of the darkness .
You all have a real nice day now .

The moderators 'locked-up" the Trinity threads because of all the "biting, devouring, and Consuming one another".
Hope that doesn't happen here, but alas, my hope will probably "be Dashed"

I agree, Johann. I can discuss God without anger. It would seem others cannot. Maybe, that's why we can't discuss the Trinity. But this is the only forum that I've found which forbids the discussion of the key belief that separates us from the others. Go figure!

1. John 3:30 (NKJV)
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”

John the Baptist, in this verse, clearly acknowledges that his role is to point people to Christ and that his own prominence must diminish.
2. Galatians 6:14 (NKJV)
“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”

Paul insists that the only thing worth boasting about is the cross of Christ, not anything about himself.
3. 1 Corinthians 2:2 (NKJV)
“For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

Paul makes it clear that his message centers solely on Christ and His crucifixion, not on human wisdom or personal achievements.
4. 2 Corinthians 4:5 (NKJV)
“For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.”

Paul explicitly states that the focus of their preaching is Christ Jesus, not themselves, and they consider themselves servants for the sake of Jesus.
5. Philippians 3:8 (NKJV)
“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.”

Paul shows that all his personal accomplishments are worthless compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ.
6. Colossians 1:28 (NKJV)
“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.”

The focus of the apostolic message is Christ, and the goal is to lead others to maturity in Him.
7. John 12:32 (NKJV)
“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

Jesus Himself declared that when He is lifted up (referring to His crucifixion), He will draw all people to Him, emphasizing that the focus should always be on Him.
8. 1 Peter 4:11 (NKJV)
“If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Peter emphasizes that all service, ministry, and speech should be done in a way that glorifies God through Christ, not the individual.
These passages reinforce the biblical teaching that the focus should always be on Christ Jesus, not on oneself. The goal is to glorify Him and point others to His saving work.

At some point it boggles my mind that God was alone. No only begotten Son, no angels, just God. Therefore Fatherhood does not define Him or confine Him. He is first and foremost the Almighty Creator.

It was because the monotheist's in the forum held such powerfully convincing arguments that the trinitarians were overwhelmed and asked for the discussions to cease.

Ah those were the days!

You're right, but always remember that God the first Person created the universe through his Agent, the second Person, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the third Person (Genesis 1:1,2 and John 1:1-3) as our ONE, all-powerful God. His mysterious divine being boggles my mind, but he is that amazing God, because his Word describes him that way.

Only One Person Bruce!

It boggles your mind not because of its profundity but due to the erroneous nature of your belief.
