I cannot say I agree with your interpretation of Revelation and the Harlot, I believe it to be something else.

But I do agree with you that we must choose Christ over religion.

Rev_17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

1Co 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
1Co 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
Catholic church is the mother of all mens religions.

Why do you think He said,

Rev_18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Well I have decided to start a new thread about The great harlot mentioned in Revelation chapter 17.

"Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Many people claim to know who the woman in Revelation chapter 17 is, in verse 18 it says "And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth."

So what is that great city? I guess more to point which city is the modern day Babylon? Who is Babylon the Great, Mother of Harlots mentioned in Revelation?

I think without debate we can say fornication has been normalized in the past 2-3 decades, and Hollywood has been the centre of the entertainment world for many decades now, there also has been an oversexualization of the entertainment industry, could we say Hollywood is the modern day Babylon?

This is absolutely true.... NO way of denying that Hollywood and fornication being normalized is a huge huge REALITY... However.. they are NOT representing CHRIST or the CHURCH... Is this Harlot not a representation of EVIL within the church??

I have to make a disclaimer statement here... If I ask a stupid question or make a wrong assumption... PLEASE be gentle with me... I asked Josho to start this topic...as I am REALLY wanting to learn about the end time prophesies... I know NEXT to nothing about this topic... so I am looking for all schools of thought... I absolutely agree with this... but I would say that this harlot covers an even LARGER territory than sexuality.

I need to spend the next 24 hours just reading and meditating on this scripture in Revelation... I am so hoping that people can discuss this topic in an informative and respectful manner... I have so much to learn. Looking so forward to what others have to offer.

You are supposed to be the "bride of Christ spiritually a woman, the church is a woman spiritually, you know what happens when a woman joins her self to a woman?

Witchcraft is a great deception to many, because as you may be aware, witchcraft also produces results too, but it isn't without consequences, and most don't know what they are messing with when they get involved in it.

However @mjrhealth it does not disapprove of Christians fellowshipping together.

Some people may very well be called to go to Church, some people may be called to have Church services at home, some people may be called to have Ekklesia at the local cafe, different Christians are called different places.

In the bible fornication has to do with playing the harlot. The jews were continually charged with fornication/playing the harlot because of their continual pagan worship. They wanted to try to worship God and Baal both and were called out for it.

I am not sure fornication in Rev here means actually sexual sin, But spiritual fornication. The harlot being the system which has been there since babylon was created after the flood.

I really think it's all those things @Josho... It's a combination of all the evil deeds ... which would indeed include witchcraft .... I do think you are on the right track... I believe this harlot is all the perversions in the Church... both seen and unseen. Anyways... I did say I would meditate on this scripture... LOL

I think Witchcraft has been around for many years.. When it comes to the beast and certain powers. I think it is demonic. Remember we have the man of sin which is controlled by satan himself. and the false prophet which does signs and wonders.
