Hi whirlwind! The Lords words do make us weep and laugh. I went and read Isa 30:20.
I don't get that as a now in this age prophecy. Isa. 30:19 is speaking of the time when the people of Zion will WEEP no more, meaning a future time that is speaking when the Kingdom of God is restored to earth and how gracious he will be when we cry for help. Those who are taught going to heaven doctrines often take these kingdom of God on earth verses out of context. When God sets His Kingdom up here on earth and removes the government of Men that is now established, there will bethe voice heard in our ears and our eyes will see the teacher who will tell the person who is still in the physical form the right wayto be or go or act, when they are going against the Laws of God that Christ will have established upon the earth. As verse 21 says you will hear a voice behind you, is not what we experience on a regular bases now. Yes, we do hear a verbal voice from time to time in prayer telling us what to do. But this verse is very clear in saying "this is the way, walk in it" now we have it put on our hearts and the guidance of the H.S. So, we're not at this prophecy fulfillment yet.
To me, it is about both now and then. For instance, He said..."And though the LORD give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction," which is what is present now but, for the elect, will not be in the millennium. As far as the "voice" it speaks now Vickie...and on a regular basis. Each time His Word is opened...He speaks to all but not all are given ears to hear.QUOTE
The other thing I will touch on quickly is that there will be the people who came in at the wedding banquet that were invited that came in place of those who did not deserve to come for they were to busy with other things when Christ sent the servants out to gather the people...
these people are going to be flesh and blood. The coming kingdom of God on earth will have others beside us who have been given eternal life. We are going to be judging the world and angels as I Cor. 6:2-4 tell us. So, we have to know the way of God and what we have learned here will follow us into the kingdom. We never leave the earth from the truth spoken in the bible. All descriptions of the Kingdom of God consist of here on earth over in Zion living under the tent spread over us, which is Christ. I must disagree with your statement of flesh and blood being on earth. All are changed into spirit...All. The age of flesh bodies are over.
