Did you know the life we are talking about you can never loose. You can and will loose your container one day but your life is eternal. Remember the scripture Jesus gave when he said don't fear man who can kill the body, but him who can destroy both body and soul.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. - Luke 12:4-5.
The point in that is to say you do not have a life of your own and then his life too. You have one life and the life is Christ. It is not like his life, it does not just resemble his life, it is the only life a believer has. Someone said "why do I feel like I have a life of my own." Simple because of the training you had before Christ. You were told how bad you were, and some were. You were told how good you were, and some were. We were always being told we had a life of our own. It still goes on in religion, religion is so helpful they want to fix and clean up a dead crucified old ugly man and get this thing really going for God and usally a nice fee to go with it. If you were to define religion one way would be to say "they try to make you what you already are," as believers. We don't need an old man fix I need a new man understanding. That is what the gospel does, it tells you who you are, how you got to be who you are, and what to do with who you are. That is the simplest definition of the gospel in scripture. How does that happen as far as living? Revelation, revealed knowledge.
Paul spends 14 Epistles telling us that, but at the same time in those Epistles he deals with all kinds of issues that people want to make a gospel out of and it don't work. Paul's bottom line on the gospel was telling believers for generations to come "who they are, how they got to be who they are, and what to do with it." That is what is written in Paul's Epistles and in his Epistles you read that it all has to do with "the cross and a new birth." No doing to be (religion), we are be-ers by Christ in us and there is no doing to be, you just are (spirit). Now soul we find out in time is alot different because we are trying to make it work and put it together and soul just don't cooperate at times, scripture calls it sin in the body.
What are you or who are you? You are a bonified offspring of God the Father by a birthing. The Father births his own children, he don't create them He births them the moment they believed. That is what Paul said in his gospel. Paul does not use the words born again, but he does use the word "mystery" to say the same thing. When Paul uses mystery in a verse he is talking about the Christ in you by a birthing. He tells us it wasn't even known by anyone (other than Jesus) until it was revealed to him by Jesus Christ Himself (Romans 16:25) that God was going to do such a magnificent thing as become Father to his creation by a birthing (mystery). When he uses the word mystery it is not the way we understand mystery because this mystery has been revealed.
The only one at the time that knew God as Father was Jesus, and now humanity could know God as their Father. We hear that so much we can take that for granted, but that needs to roll around in believer's with the Holyspirit shedding the light that is needed to get the full impact of that statement. Every individual that would believe could know God as Father. You wouldn't need special education to know, you wouldn't need neighbor telling neighbor, all you had to do is listen and learn and the Holy scripture would bear that out. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised for he has done great things. Bless you.
