They can't see the evil in themselves...but look to blame others.
2 Corinthians 12:19-21 Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying. [20]
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults: [21] And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
“For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not
Such as you would not
(imo) the above is when I come I fear I will not find you in repentance and bewailing of such things as have been done and that instead I will come and be seen of you all, as you would not rejecting the way: (James 4:7-10)
Lest, when I come again, My God will humble me among you, and that
I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
“debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults” are acceptable? “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? [4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? [5] Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then
shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.” Matthew 7:3-5
This is a call to repentance for all men.
