Q: Jesus Christ is reputed to be the first-fruits from the dead (1Cor 15:20).
How is that true when so many other people were resurrected before him?

A: Christ is the first to come back from death with immortality.

Acts 13:34 . . He raised him from the dead never to return to corruption

Rom 6:9 . .We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more;
death no longer has power over him.

Rev 1:18 . . I am the one who lives. Once I was dead, but now I am alive
forever and ever

Q: But isn't everyone alive forever and ever; even people in hell?

A: When the Bible speaks of Christ's resurrection, it's always relative to his
dead body rather than his existence.

It was essential that Christ's crucified remains be returned to life or his
prediction in the passage below would been easily proven false.

John 2:19-21 . . Jesus answered them: Destroy this temple, and I will
raise it again in three days. The Jews replied: It has taken forty-six years to
build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days? But the temple
he had spoken of was his body.

No they are not alive because death is seperation from God, that is why our Life is in Jesus

You are speaking there of spiritual death.

Physical death, which is what we normally mean by death, is the separation of the body from the soul. The body become corrupt but the soul lives on.
