What is the message of Salvation? To make it as simple as possible. The story begins when God had created Adam and placed him in the garden. He also created Eve. Sometime during their time walking in the cool of the garden, the Serpent, a deceptive and crafty creature, manipulated Eve into disobeying God's command, which was not to eat of the tree of knowledge, of good and evil. Genesis 2:17 Disobedience towards God's command is called sin. Romans 5:12. and sin leads to death. They both ate of the fruit of that tree.

This plunged mankind into darkness until a promise was made to Abraham regarding the Messiah our redeemer John 1:41 who came in the form of God's Son. Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:16, Galatians 3:29

This dark period in human history is called the "Fall of Man." From that time onwards, mankind was still able to reproduce seed [as God had commanded] but their children were being born into a fallen world because of that original sin. 430 years later, God sent his law to Moses to show mankind how utterly sinful they were. Basically, they became conscious of sin whereas they were not aware of their sinful nature until the law came through Moses.

The law was not able to cleanse man from sin as the blood of animals cannot cleanse sin however this was a shadow/ a picture of things to come but the fullness of it, was in Jesus Christ. Just as God passed over the sins of the people through sacrifices of animals in the Old testament, so also was he intending to passover the sins of the people who believe in Jesus Christ through his own precious blood, once and for all.

When Jesus came, he fulfilled all that was given to him by his father by dying on the cross for the sins of all mankind beforehand for those who will believe in him by faith. John 3:16. Under a new covenant. Matthew 26:28. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission Hebrews 9:22. He was sinless 2 Corinthians 5:21.

In his death he become a sacrifice on our behalf which was pleasing in God's sight Ephesians 5:2. Death could not hold him down. 1 Corinthians 15:20-22.

Acts 2: 24 - But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

Acts 5:30 - The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.

Acts 10:40 - but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen

He will also raise us up.1 Corinthians 6:14 - By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also
He will save those who believe in him by faith. Romans 10:9

The law brings a curse Galatians 3:10 but Jesus redeemed us from that curse. Galatians 3:13. He gave those who believe in him by faith, eternal life Romans 6:23.

Those who are in Christ Jesus are now free from the law of sin and death. He became a high priest and intercedes on our behalf Romans 8:34 who can sympathise with us in every way. Hebrews 4:15. He sent his Holy Spirit to dwell in those who believe in him by faith. John 14:16, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:7

This is the power of the cross! This is the message of salvation!

That Jesus Christ, God's only son, was sent to restore that which was lost in the garden and redeem those who believe in him by faith.
Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:14-17

Blessings!
