Saint,

The word of God is the incorruptible seed.
It brings forth fruit as "born again", all the time...all over the world.
It is a SEED that "does not return void".
This Spiritual fruit, that it births...... is the eternal life, who is CHRIST Himself, who is THE WORD.
THis is why we exist "In Christ" being born into Him, as "One with God and Christ".

The born again, are the Eternal Fruit of the living word of God.
WE, are "incorruptible" and exist as sinless/Righteous, by being "One with God and Christ".
WE, as the born again, the "new creation", exist only THERE, .... not as the "old man", or as a "sinner".

We are = "in the world but not of it", because we literally are not of it because we are born again INTO GOD's Spirit, and God does not live on Earth (except in us)... because God the Father literally exists in a Spiritual Kingdom of LIGHT..
When we are born again INTO GOD, "In Christ" we have been "translated from Darkness (unbelief and the world) = INTO Light".
This Light is GOD, Himself., and this is why we are become "Children of The Light".

Saint...Being born again, is to be BIRTHED INTO GOD's Spirit, as us becoming born again SPIRITUALLY.

We, by being born again, become SPIRITUALLY, = exactly like God's Spirit... where we now and forever exist.
This can never be changed.

If anyone has the truth in them (the incorruptible word of the Lord), they will acknowledge that they have indwelling sin.

1Jo 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
.
.
.
Rom 6:10, For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Rom 6:11, Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In that He died, he died unto sin once. He became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

So, in that He died unto sin, He became sin.

Likewise (in the same manner), we are to consider ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin (utterly sinful) but alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is also the meaning of the word "dead" here; which indicates that we, if we are in Christ, are separated from the sin that completely is in our flesh.

Our soul has been submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ; and therefore we do not walk according to the flesh; we walk according to the Spirit. In our minds, we are subject to the Spirit rather than our flesh (Romans 8:4); which is utterly sinful.

If anyone has become the righteousness of God in Christ then all sin is resolved.
"indwelling sin" is found not "in Christ" but in the "old man".
The old man is "crucified with Christ"., if you are born again.
If not, then you'll have indwelling sin.
