There seems to be a lot of confusion about this judgement.

When reading this in the Bible it is a mistake to assume it is about how we help others in the Christian life. If it is, then we are still under law. A person should focus on “the why” these people are selected in each group. Understand the “Nations” in the scriptures are the Gentile people, if it were the Jews it would say Israel.

    Matt 25:31-32 NKJV
31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
    35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'
37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

This judgment takes place after the Grace Church of His body has been caught up into the clouds and at the end of the 7 years of tribulations when Jesus sets up His Kingdom on the earth. In other words those saved under grace will not be there to be judged.

There is absolutely no other reason given for the Sheep to be blessed except that they helped Jesus’ brethren, the Jews. No where in scripture are the Gentiles called Jesus’ brethren. I think is important that there is no mention of the sheep ever accepting Jesus as their savior or of placing their faith in Him.

As to the “why” it is contained in the covenant that was made with Abraham.

    Gen 12:2-3 NKJV
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Where will the Sheep go? It is my opinion that they will be the gentile nations during the 1,000 year reign of Jesus on this earth.

The sheep/goat judgment is the GWT judgment whereby all the peoples of the world will be gathered for final judgment.

This is NOT a judgment of the house of God. These will already have been judged.

"and the books were opened"...and then ANOTHER book was opened which was the book of life. So then there are 3 different books of judgment (at least) the last of which is to determine who will populate the nations in the next age. (the nations of them which are saved)

Rev. 20 and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

Rev. 21:24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

And make no mistake about it...Jesus is speaking of all His brethren...not just the Jews. All who are in Him and He in them. One must see as He sees things.

    Gen 12:2-3 NKJV
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

All the people outside the family of God will be judged against the righteousness of their treatment of they who are holy in the Lord. Both Jew AND Gentile...male and female, slave and free. In Christ there is no difference.

Now this is something I havent heard. So from what I understand, you believe the sheep and goats are both unsaved in Christ? That this is not the final judgement?

IMHO They are NOT SAVED as we know being saved. Nowhere does it mentions being saved. The ones in the nations (Gentiles) that blessed the Jews during their 7 years tribulation will be rewarded with being selected to go into the 1000 year reign of Jesus on this earth and the only reason given is that they helped the Jews (Jesus' brethren).

    My understanding . . .

    God removes the church, "rapture"

    God saves Israel (great tribulation)

    Angels gather Israel (Matt 24:31)

    Jesus sits on His throne.

Angels gathers the nations Matt 25:32)

Jesus judges the nations based on how they treated the Jews

Jesus condemns those who did not take care of His people

Jesus welcomes into His kingdom all who did

    IF . . .

the church is Israel then there would be no sheep - all would be gathered with Israel

the church is not raptured before Israel is saved, then they dissappear - only Jews are gathered, then the sheep - no "church"

the sheep are judged on works, they are not the church, which is saved apart from works

the Great White Throne judgment is of the dead, then it is not the Sheep/Goats judgment, as the dead will not be sheep

    Much love!

It says "all the nations" which includes both Gentile and Hebrew nations.....as in all nations, every creature found in the great commission.

Romans 2:6 "Who will render to every man (Jew and Gentile) according to his deeds:"
(Romans 2 is directed by Paul at the Jews ["o man" Romans 2:1] in proving they are sinners just as the Gentiles [Romans 1] and in need of justification just as the Gentiles. Who then was the Jew to judge the Gentile [Romans 2:3-6] for God will be the judge of all men, God will render to the Jew as He will to the Gentile [every man] according to their deeds.

2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

Paul is speaking here of the house of God. US! We must all go before the tribunal with Christ presiding. The judgment seat is the BEMA judgment. It is like a military tribunal like a court marshal. It is for His house...

This takes place before the Millenium rule of those who pass muster in order to rule with Christ.

    Hi,

Let me begin by saying that I do not believe in premillennialism, nor a rapture, nor a 1000 year reign or in multiple judgments.

I do believe that on a specific day that only God knows (Matthew 24:36) God will send Christ back to earth and there will a general resurrection of both good and evil (John 5:28-29), where all, both good and evil, will stand before the judgment seat and receive the sentence that fits the deed one did in this life, (Romans 2:6-11) whether good or bad.

In 2 Corinthians 5:10 bema can mean a positive or negative judgement. This verse itself does say "that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good (positive) or bad (negative)".
So the judgment of 2 Cor 5:10 is not one of 'rewards only' as I have seen some claim. Romans 14:10-11 speaks of a judgment seat but not a judgment of rewards only nor two judgments (or more).

Luke 10:14; Matthew 10:15; Matthew 12:36-42 speak of "THE judgment", one specific judgment that takes place on one singular day (THE day) - Acts of the Apostles 17:31 ( a day).

Hebrews 9:27 man dies then judgment, no mention of many judgments. So I find nothing in the Bible where there will be more than one judgment of all men on 'the day'

Then you and I have nothing in common and it will be foolish for me to reply to anything you post.
