Jesus said in

Matthew 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

This event is also spoken of here in
Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”

The clouds that come with Christ represents the saints in heaven as is written in Jude 14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,”

But there shall also be a sign in heaven marking this event. I believe it will a very bright and glorious star as I was shown in a vision, like the one that marked Jesus’ birth.

But Jesus also said his coming would be like the rising sun here in
Matthew 24:27
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

But whatever the sign is, we are told every eye shall see it. But there is also other events that will mark Christs coming. Notice in the first verse I posted above, Jesus said the tribes of the earth shall mourn.

This prophecy is shown here in Zechariah 12:8-14 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;
14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.”

This prophecy above shows it is speaking about the 12 tribes of Israel, and about how Gods favor shall return to flesh and blood Israel. And how God will protect Israel when the nations shall be gathered against Jerusalem.

God will pour out His Spirit on Israel, and they will then realize that Jesus Christ was the Messiah prophesied to come, and this is why they will be mourning.

This event was also spoken of by Paul here in Romans 11:25-27For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.”

And here is where Paul is getting that from in Isaiah 59:19-21So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.”

So this event will be marked by a sign in heaven that every eye shall see. And it will be marked by the gathering of the nations against Israel and Jerusalem. And it will also be marked by God pouring out His Holy Spirit upon Israel.

Then shall come to pass this saying of Jesus “Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”

Peace and God bless.

More info on the battle of the great day of God Almighty...

In Joel 3:12 we hear of another valley, which is called the valley of Jehoshaphat which is located between the old temple mount and the Mount of Olives.

The Lord says that here is the place he shall gather the heathen together round about, and here is the place that he shall judge them in Joel 3:11-14 “ Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord.12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” By the way Jehoshaphat means the Lord Judges.

Now listen to the next couple of verses in Joel 3:15-16 “The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”

That is the 6th seal sign we discussed earlier in our past studies. I believe this event marks the “fullness of the Gentiles” period as was spoken of by both Jesus and Paul. This is what I call the parting of 2 ways, where one way ends and another begins.

We know by scripture that the nations shall be gathered together once again against Jerusalem, and we see signs of this taking shape even now. Zechariah chapter 14 is a good chapter to read concerning the coming of the Lord with all His saints. The Lord also speaks of a plague in Zechariah 14:12-13

"And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.”

The flesh being consumed from off their bodies while they are still on their feet sounds like either nuclear war, or perhaps even an asteroid, or perhaps some other super natural power the Lord will consume them with.

This turning ever man’s hand against his neighbor was also shown several times in scripture, like in the story of Gideon in Judges 7:22 “And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the Lord set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.” And also here in Isaiah 19:2 “And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.”

In a spiritual sense we are already seeing every man’s hand and sword against his neighbor as there are divisions in every country, every nation, governments, politics and religion. But no matter how it all plays out the slaughter is said to be great, and the Lord shall Glorify His Holy name in the sight of all peoples and nations.

Isaiah 13:6-13 “ Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.”

Now compare Joel 3 and Isaiah 13 concerning the signs in the sun, moon, and stars to Jesus’ testimony below….

Luke 21:24-28

King James Version

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Notice the timing, the signs of the sun moon and stars happens right after the “times of the Gentiles is fulfilled”. This confirms the 6th seal signs of the same.

Also notice Jesus said in verse 26 that mens hearts will be failing them for fear. This is the same wording in Isaiah 13:7with “every man’s heart shall melt.”

Luke 21:24, refers to the Roman conquest of 70 AD.

Luke 21:25-26, refers to the forthcoming Sixth Seal worldwide disaster.

Luke 21:27 refers to the glorious Return of King Jesus.

Luke 21:28 refers to the Great Tribulation, during the final 3 1/2 years of this age.

All different things, at different times and like most Prophecy ; out of correct sequence.

I believe the sign of Christ's Coming was meant simply to dissuade his followers from following earthly Messianic movements that claim to be bringing in the Kingdom of God prematurely. The "sign," therefore, is some kind of observance that Christ has returned as a "heavenly reality," as opposed to some mortal human being declaring himself Messiah or some movement declaring itself the Kingdom of God.

I also believe Israel is destined, as a nation, for Salvation. This will be a political salvation, but will be based on a return to godliness such that the people will, as a majority, embrace Christ as their way, truth, and life. Certainly not all will be truly regenerated on the inside, but the return of the nation to obedience will certainly liberate them from the current age of cursing, due to their state of ignorance and rebellion.

I believe the Lord is going to send down His host of angels first, notice…

This prophecy is shown here in Zechariah 12:8-14In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.

Joel 3:11-14 “ Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord.”

I believe Michael the arch angel shall stand up and fight for Israel at this time…

Daniel 12:1
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

I believe this Mighty angel below is Michael…

Revelation 10

King James Version

10 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

I believe the 144,000 that are sealed of the tribes of Israel shall prophesy before the last trump at the last day.

Scripture places the fulfillment of Zechariah 12:10 at the time of the first coming of Christ, not the second coming.

John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. 36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. 37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Zechariah 12:10 is about people mourning the death of Christ. Matthew 24:30 and Revelation 1:7, however, is about people wailing in fear at His return because of His wrath.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

The ones who pierced him will be resurrected and judged at that point (John 5:28-29, Matthew 25:31-46) and that's why they will see Him. Literally all people from all time will see Him that day because He's coming to judge the living and the dead.

2 Timothy 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:

When it talks about all kindreds of the earth wailing because of Him it's talking about this:

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Jeremiah 23:30
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Zechariah 5

King James Version

5 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.”

So now you decide to make a literal interpretation? Why is this all of a sudden, physical, instead of symbolic for their spiritual status?

The King James says "quick". One group on earth will be the redeemed. The other group will be left in their dead state.

"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

This does not say those who pierced Jesus are resurrected, at the Second Coming of Jesus. Jesus does not say at this hour will be my "second coming".

We can see that there is at least one resurrection of some, while the rest have to wait in Revelation 20.

"But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished."

There was a resurrection at the Cross. Jesus never said "all humanity" will be resurrected at one single time. Jesus said all in their graves will be resurrected.

"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,"

At the Second Coming many will be alive and not physically dead. There will be those who are the "quick", made alive in Christ by the second birth, and those who are the dead, who have not been made alive by the second birth. Both will be judged. Both will be judged without physically dying first. Those in Christ will be changed and glorified as their judgment, and their works tried by fire, spiritually. Those not of the second birth will be judged and tossed into the LOF. Paul did not even say all will be judged, in that instant of time. Paul said the quick and the dead will be judged, which starts at the Second Coming. Those who have physically died since the Cross receive life, at the moment of physical death, or continue in death, but they are not judged at physical death. Other than sheol is a place of torment and Paradise is the place of redemption. One is no longer in a state of death, not even physically, in Paradise.

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."

You say this can only refer to the first coming. If that were true, then this is a prophesy saying they will look on Him as they pierce Him. Your literal interpretation is still wrong, because only one Roman soldier literally pierced Him on the Cross. Zechariah is showing that Israel as a nation pierced Jesus by demanding the Romans to crucify Jesus. But it is in the past tense:

"they shall look upon me whom they have pierced."

This is not referring to the one Roman soldier who literally comes to life to see Jesus, whom he pierced.

Zechariah 12 and 14 are talking about the restoration of Israel, at the Second Coming. Not the total annihilation of those on the earth. If you say they are literally resurrected at the Second Coming, how can this be about the first century coming?
