Yes, once your eyes are opened, you can't unsee what you see. My awareness of the neglect of God's Spirit grows the more I hear those who identify as followers of Christ. They have substituted the Spirit with the bible. Yes, the holy bible has replaced the Holy Spirit.

I'm sad for these people because they are at risk of missing out, not enduring to the end, running out of oil and missing out on being married to the Groom. Those 5 virgins were waiting for the Groom Who they knew about but sadly Jesus will say, away from Me, I never knew you. I sent you My Spirit and you rejected Him. Those who reject My Spirit I will reject when I come. Knowing about the Holy Ghost is not the same as having a relationship with Him. Talking to Him. Listening to Him. Thanking Him. Worshipping Him.
Now this is true @One 2 question, but we must also be mindful of how easy it is to not spend time with the Lord in a personal relationship over spending time in his word. There should always be a balance. The Bible is about the Lord, his character, and his personality. Spending time with the Lord in a personal, one-on-one relationship is on another level, but they do work together.

For you, what is the balance?

For me, it was nearly a 100% relationship with the bible.

On the other hand I didn't really know the Holy Spirit. I had read about Him plenty of times, as both Jesus and Paul often acknowledged and referenced Him. Obviously they had a relationship with Him but I found I didn't.

Since then I repented of my relationship with the bible and I'm establishing a closer, stronger relationship with Him based on personal experience not second-hand information.

I'm not sure, but maybe my relationship with Spirit of Christ is still in its infancy stage. I'm really looking forward to exploring Him and seeing us grow much more acquainted with eachother. I love Him and have begun worshipping Him because He is worthy, God is worthy of our worship. What do you think?

@One 2 questions. I read the Bible all the time. I also spend time in prayer and worship and just talking to the Lord on a regular basis. The balance is being able to do all these things. I love reading the Bible because most times the Holy Spirit gives me a revelation on a particular verse
I haven't understood before, and that's awesome.

See, I came to salvation a completely different way. The Lord had made himself known to me in a divine way, then I went to church and Bible study to find out all about him, and it confirmed what I already understood through personally experiencing him in my life.

I think you're awesome! And I think he has separate path for each one of us that allows us to draw closer to him in every way.
