Ephesians 4:13,
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
There is a point in your spiritual growth and understanding that you come into or begin to see total union and oneness. The seperation that your mind (speration is always in mind never in spirit) brings to you at times has began to wain and give over to the new thought of revelation knowledge. What has happened to you? you are growing up into him! him who? him Christ. The Christ in you, you have learned him as the scripture says and growth comes to your mind. We have talked about spiritual growth before, after you are born again spiritual growth all happens in mind. You don't grow in spirit, your spirit was made perfect the moment you believed, at that moment you were joined unto the Lord's spirit. The two are one, they became one by placement, being placed in Christ and Christ in you, synonymous term. It is really a birthing that takes place, the father's seed which is Christ being put in a believer. That is what it means to be born again, a birthing has taken place, Galatians 3:16
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
If you try to over spiritualize the fact and change the meaning of literally being birthed (some say we are really not born again) you will loose the most important thing that happened to you and the rest of your study of the word of God will start out as a struggle. You may never know what happened to you the moment you believed, or the Killing of the old man on the cross, or the exchange of natures. The birthing is the key that will open all the scriptures that are written to you, as well as the proper interpretation of all the scriptures. What makes it so important? It gives the HolySpirit something to work with, or we can say he will not have to work through as much of your interpretation of the scriptures. You get a sound start to understanding the deep things of God, because you are not going to witness the deep things unless the HolySpirit reveals them to you.
If you watch for anything it should your unrenewed mind. You have area's of your mind that have been renewed, but you have area's of your mind that have not been renewed. Just because the old man is dead, your mind is alive and well and trained, taught by sin in you from your natural birth. That is what we mistakenly call the old man, it's not the old man, it is the mind now that has not been renewed to it's new life, new nature. So your old mind will reject the things of God if it can't understand or control them, so you must be very careful in the area of mind renewal. The easiest way to out fox your own mind is just stay yielded to the HolySpirit, listen I know you need to control your situation but if you will just give him free rein over your mind, the training and the renewing of the mind goes alot easier.
Your father is not going to leave you running around doing your own thing, he loves you to much, the world (schoolhouse) will become your teacher and you really don't want that. We are going to get enough of the world anyway, we do not need it running ramshod over us.
