And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Some say this is proof, that the saints are judging from heaven, not on earth, after the first resurrection of their bodies.

But that is not what Scripture says, but is an assumption based upon a personal doctrine.

All it says is that the saints will sti on thrones themselves to rule with the Lord, even as He sits on His glorious throne in Jerusalem.

They will be given thrones as kings and priests to God over the cities given them.

Except that you added “His throne in Jerusalem“

Paul explains that it was already a current reality

Ephesians 2:4-6
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

I add that from other prophecy of Scripture. Rev 20 shows the saints will also have throne to rule with Him over the earth.

I say they also are on earth.

Paul explains that it was already a current reality

Ephesians 2:4-6
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
I agree with the spiritual truth of being resurrected spiritually with Christ,a nd seated spiritually in heavenly places, while still in mortal bodies on earth.

However, the correction is for them that say Rev 20 speaks of heavenly thrones, after the bodily resurrection, which the Scripture does not say.

Only by making Rev 20 a spiritual resurrection, and not bodily, would anyone presume that they are heavenly thrones.

We are being prepared today spiritually in heavenly things, in order to be worthy to reign with Him physically over the earth.
