The unrenewed mind seperates the Christian from Christ in you. It is something you will deal with all the days of your life. The unrenewed mind will take away the mind from Christ to be able to do it's own thing. Aw that is where the seperation is, your mind over riding Christ in you to do it's thing. We cannot be separated from Christ who is the life of every born again believer, but the mind can seperate you from from knowing who you are by simply doing it's own thing. What is meant by "it's own thing." The mind is given to the ways of the old life, the way you thought, the way you reacted, the way you repond to situations.
Paul, being the greatest physiologist that ever lived, knew the matchless truth of mind renewal. We are warned about psychology in the scriptures by Paul. What was the difference with Paul and others. Paul knew what made a human being tic if you will. Psychology tries to straighten out the believer, Paul knew seing Christ as your life was the answer. Both are mind issues but one seeks to fix your old man up and one gets you to see your old man is dead and you are already fixed up in Christ or Christ in you.
That is what Paul's gospel does, it helps the believer to renew their mind. Your unrenewed mind is your problem. Your mind has areas that have been renewed, but still there are areas that aren't. The only problem a Christian will ever have in this life, is not seeing Christ as their life. We have this treasure in earthen vessels that must be revealed in us, Gal. 1:15-16.
So you see your husband, wife, child, boss, parent or even politician is not your problem, your problem is you do not know Christ. You may know all about him, how He walked on water and healed the sick, changed the water in to wine, but you do not know the Christ that is in you.
And it shows in religious Christianity, the ignorance that exists, the lack of knowledge and understanding even in the leadership is beyond tragic. It has existed since the beginning of Christianity, it will not change, you must change your mind, your mind must be renewed to the Christ that is in you or there is no going on in God without Christ revealed in you to you as you're Only Life.
You see you have no other life, not if you're in Christ, you have one life and that life is Christ. You need to read it for yourself, don't depend on others to do your work for you, it is written and must be read by the believer over and over untill it is fixed in your mind, and becomes who you are. If I depend on others to tell me they will have you trying to understand if Adam ate a real apple or not, it leads away from Christ, can you see that.
Your unrenewed mind will be around as long as you are alive so you may as well see Christ who is life and have mental strength no matter the hell you go through, it won't matter to you. Remember Jesus said "be of good cheer, because I have overcome the world." As a born again Christian you have the same Christ in you as your life now.
