Let's have fun sharing thoughts we have when encountering everyday life situations...

    I will start....

Walmart has conveniently placed sani-wipes at the entrance of the store for the customer to wipe the handles of the grocery cart...…
The customer then enters the store and begins shopping.....
picking up shelf items stocked by employees....
opening doors on the refrigeration isles...
virtually everything they shop for has been handled by other hands.....

So THE ONLY TIME YOU WILL EXPERIENCE GERM FREE SHOPPING IS THE FEW SECONDS YOU SPENT WIPING DOWN THAT HANDLE ON THE SHOPPING CART BEFORE ENTERING THE STORE AND YOU START SHOPPING!!!!!!!!

    Yes.....definitely something to ponder......hahaha!

The store might have shares in sani-wipes and the whole thing could be a marketing ploy. Well you did say to ponder.

I'm also pondering the indwelling of Christ crucified in sinners who are cleansed by His blood. Paul said he was crucified with Christ, obviously not literally like the two criminals, but in the sense of being dead to the world, the flesh, and the devil. Me too in the new creation and the putting off of the old one.

Going out of business sales. There are companies that orchestrate going out of business sales taking months instead of days. They skirt the law and order excessive stock to be shipped on dates spanning the length of the sale. So the inventory was already legally owned even though the building is too small to hold it. So the business moves a tremendous amount of inventory at the normal price, and even at an inflated price. Why? Because people think its gotta go, they're closing the doors, so it must be cheap.

I have heard the teaching to daily crucify your flesh against the lusts and desires it has.....walking in the spirit helps us to overcome the fleshly temptations. :)

:) There was a furniture store here locally that advertised "Going out of Business" sales like eight different times... over the span of 10 years. Apparently they did so well that it motivated them to stay in business. Except this last time. They actually closed the doors earlier this year.

I was astonished, and remember thinking, "They must have really meant it this time." :p

Auto Parts stores. As you drive by you see jalopies and possibly newer vehicles in the parking spaces, all trying to save a buck. But for the unskilled, troubleshooting an automotive problem amounts to little more than buying and replacing parts until you finally stumble on the the reason for the failure. So I wonder how much we "shade tree mechanics" spend trying to save a dollar when the pros can solve the problem in minutes?

Ha. We've got a special basket in the cupboard for those single unmarried socks. I have yet to find the basket with the other half.

So why does the baby always pass up the twenty different multi colored toys on the floor and go for the crumbled up piece of paper on the floor instead? I think babies do that to see what the parent will do.

Did you ever think about the sign over the low door of a restaurant?

I used to work on a dairy farm for over 15 years. I marveled at the similarity between cows and humans. They would have plenty to eat, but would push at the gates and fences to get at what they saw next door. If a hate was left open, regardless of whether they had sufficient or not, they would all pour through until every cow was in the next paddock. If the next gate was open, they would all go through that, and so on until they came to the end. Then they would all drift back, until evenly distributed across 4or5 paddocks.
Don't we also push at the boundaries, because We cannot content ourselves with what God graciously gives us? We even have special names for it... Like pushing the envelope. And we praise those who do so, as being brave or entrepreneurs. Yet it actually is base covetousness. And we kill ourselves doing it. Uncontrolled appetite... Addictions... And extreme sports.
