Isaiah 11:2, presents expressions of the Divine presence that would rest upon the Messiah, the high voltage power line of the Kingdom of God. The Divine presence acts in a complete way, in all dimensions of human life and history, each manifestation represents an essential part of the spirit’s operation and together they form the totality of what God achieves on this earth. Each manifestation represents the absolute truth, that what God initiates, he inevitably concludes, God does not work in incomplete stages or half measures, for the action of the spirit is total, indivisible and perfect. God reveals his own fullness, everything depends on this fullness, each aspect of the spirit’s operation has a specific role that unfolds in everything God does, a unified force operating as a single mighty spirit.
We must grasp how these manifestations act in a unified way, a fullness that does not divide itself into pieces, but expresses itself in different layers to fulfill everything God determines. Isaiah wrote, that upon the Messiah would rest the spirit of Yahweh, the spirit of wisdom is how God orders the universe, the spirit of understanding separates truth from lies, the spirit of counsel reveals the right direction for your life, the spirit of might executes every Divine action and miracle, the spirit of knowledge reveals the invisible realm and the spirit of the fear of Yahweh awakens the holy reverence that keeps a person on the right path, creating a direct line between heaven and your home, seven perfect expressions operating together as an indivisible set, the eternal witnesses and the principles that sustain your reality.
Jesus stated that the spirit would guide us into all truth, wisdom and understanding act together in the revelation of truth, while counsel points the direction of that truth, knowledge illuminates what was hidden, power opens the impossible doors and fear establishes the reverence needed to walk in it. The spirit of God sustains everything and each aspect complements the other to form a unified force, there is no area of the spiritual life that depends on only one aspect. Someone may have knowledge, but without the fear of God, that knowledge produces no transformation. Someone may have power, but without wisdom, that power becomes imprudent and dangerous. Fullness only appears when all operate together, these manifestations act as a single movement, a single light with multiple reflections.
Every action of God is connected to this fullness, the ministry of Jesus, who lived the fullness of wisdom, power and fear, in perfect obedience to the Father. Jesus did not operate with fragments, affirming that this fullness is not restricted to halls of heaven, but acts among the nations and within the church. God does not manifest himself partially, he manifests himself completely and perfectly across the face of the earth. The action of the Holy Spirit is never limited or restricted, it is a complete multifaceted operation of Divine power, a single spirit with multiple expressions. Psalm 23:5, you anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over, but to a shepherd, this was practical survival, because sheep have an enemy more subtle than wolves or lions, flies.
These flies would swarm around the sheep’s head, crawl into their ears and nose and lay eggs, when the larvae hatched, they burrowed beneath the skin and drove the sheep insane, beating its head against rocks, trees, even smashing its skull, just to escape the torment. A sheep can survive a wolf attack if the shepherd intervenes, but it can be destroyed by what it allows near its mind. What does a wise shepherd do, he takes oil, thick, fragrant, medicinal and pours it over the sheep’s head, because the oil forms a protective barrier, causing the insects to slide off, unable to take hold. Oil was defense, David uses this image intentionally, God’s anointing is not hype, it is not a feeling, it is not a church moment, it is protection against thoughts, lies, accusations, doubts, intrusive fears and demonic harassment.
Some have been rebuking the wolf at the door, while ignoring the flies in your head. Your fighting visible enemies, but losing invisible battles, that’s why God anoints, not to make you look spiritual, but to keep your mind from self-destruction. The anointing silences the voices that say, you’re not enough, you’re forgotten, you’re finished, you’re alone, the anointing breaks the cycle of mental warfare before it becomes spiritual collapse.
