I would say yes, initially. Before His public ministry all would assume, outside of the first to know Mary, Elisabeth ex... that he was the son of Joseph. It was the Father in heaven who revealed He is the Messiah, Son of the Living God to Peter and John heard a voice when the Holy Spirit descended like a dove say; "This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." And not to mention His own professions. Prior to this, I do not think His neighbors or extended Jewish community they socialized with would know.

Well, as for devils , He would still have command over them no matter His age , or when He did or did not start His public ministry. His purpose would not be thwarted. As for Mary's age, or what some say concerning this, that is speculation. We can assume she was the standard age requirement of the time -to get married. Many who assert she was much younger than that standard, do so to make it seem like God is archaic or that this system of marriage at the time- is barbaric. Which from their prospective, would appear that way because most women today do not get married until they are about 30 or so. People were more mature mentally then. Both young men and young women were raised in the law for the most part and were dutiful in God and home life. Today, the devil runs amuck, in peoples lives. Hence, fornication=social diseases, unwanted pregnancy, divorce, latchkey children or no father, single moms ex...! The ways of God work! Man has rejected this and look at the state of things. I suspect most Jews believed Joseph was the father. Even Mary slipped up once and called Joseph the Father. Jesus quickly corrected her.

Aa to Mary's age, and Joseph's (because let's face it.... That's where this is going... I am just exediating it)... Its not important.

Elizabeth's (Mary's cousin) is important because John being born was a miracle birth too. Elizabeth was barren and stricken in years. Being conservative she was at least 45 or so. I am assuming she was post menopausal. Stricken in years? Both her and her husband, zacharias were. That makes me think they were above 65. No real reason for that estimate except I am 48 and don't feel like I am stricken in years.

In any sense... I think its safe to assume they were both at least 45 or 50 or there abouts.

Mary and Elizabeth were cousins. Normally cousins are within a 20 year range from each other, but not always. I am 19 years older than my brother (no children). Technically if I had a child at age 40 and he did... We'd see cousins with a 60 year difference. Very unlikely in the cycle of life but possible.

In short... We don't know Mary's age and it really doesn't matter unless you are trying to prove a doctrine through possibilities. In other words speculation and rumors.
