(I Corinthians 15:4)Cain was born first (Genesis 4:1) Satan comes first (Revelation 9, II Thessalonians 2)Abel was born second (Genesis 4:2) Christ comes last (I Corinthians 15:50-54, I Thessalonians 4:14-18, Revelation 11:15)

Genesis 3:6 - And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.Ever thought that Eve gave Adam Satan to have sex with, but never had sex with Eve until Genesis 4:1.Jag

I have a slight problem with that. There is no such thing as a homosexual genes, but yes a person can be homosexual if they choose to.A person can not be born of two males. A person can not be born of two females. It has be a male and a female like God had it to be. In the beginning God created the males and the females.Jag

I'll give an altnernated description of the raven and the dove. The raven never returned back to Noah. (Genesis 8:7) Satan will never repent of his sins and go back to God. (John 17:12, II Thessalonians 2:3)The dove went back to Noah (Genesis 8:8) The Spirit went back to Heaven with Christ (Luke 24:51) before we get the Spirit from Heaven.

Abraham almost sacrificing his only son Isaac. Gen. 22:1A prefiguration of Jesus's sacrifice. Isaac carries the wood of the burnt offering, just like Jesus carried the cross. And instead of Isaac or me or you there was a ram that was offered as sacrifice. Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Good one it also can show how God must have felt when he sacraficied his innocent son for our sins.

Herod was a type of AntichristThe Cruelty of Herod toward the Infants, and the Manner of his Death. 1 When Christ was born, according to the prophecies, in Bethlehem of Judea, at the time indicated, Herod was not a little disturbed by the enquiry of the magi who came from the east, asking where he who was born King of the Jews was to be found,--for they had seen his star, and this was their reason for taking so long a journey; for they earnestly desired to worship the infant as God,[1]-- for he imagined that his kingdom might be endangered; and he enquired therefore of the doctors of the law, who belonged to the Jewish nation, where they expected Christ to be born. When he learned that the prophecy of Micah[2] announced that Bethlehem was to be his birthplace he commanded, in a single edict, all the male infants in Bethlehem, and all its borders, that were two years of age or less, according to the time which he had accurately ascertained from the magi, to be slain, supposing that Jesus, as was indeed likely, would share the same fate as the others of his own age. 2 But the child anticipated the snare, being carried into Egypt by his parents, who had learned from an angel that appeared unto them what was about to happen, These things are recorded by the Holy Scriptures in the Gospel.[3] 3 It is worth while, in addition to this, to observe the reward which Herod received for his daring crime against Christ and those of the same age. For immediately, without the least delay, the divine vengeance overtook him while he was still alive, and gave him a foretaste of what he was to receive after death.

I just have a hard time looking at scripture and seeinf this happen. It is very jostleing to the soul to think that happened that way. even thouth the story by itself always seemedlike something was missing. I cant believe that God would of allowed it to happen that way, unless he wanted it to happen that way. I have always taken that scripture in Gen very literally. I am listing very intently to this.

Crooner if you read the O.T. and put ourselves today whenever there is a reference to the Israelites, you have a whole new meaning. How many times don't we astray from Him and we shelter idols and other Gods within us that we sacrifice to everyday and move God to jealousy?Another example is the sacrifice in the O.T. like Noah's for example that the bible says "And the LORD smelled a sweet savour". Today this sweet savour is spiritual and is our prayer.Another one is "tabernacle of the congregation" and the vail inside it. When Jesus finaly died on the cross there was a great earthquake and the vail of the temple was "rent in twain" (Mat 27:51). This marked the new era for men were they would have no need for a priest to enter the vain and offer a sacrifice for his sins and then for them. They would get the Holy Spirit through which we can now enter into the holy place of God."3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God .7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;" Heb 9:12And of course our high priest, Jesus Christ, sinless and eternal has no need to be replaced, He offered Himself on the cross for all our sins. Praise the Lord!

Hi Unorthodox Christian:Thank you very much for starting this thread on the types and antitypes of Scripture, as this is one of my favorite topics.
UC >> Name types of the bible. Adam and Eve are like Christ and the Bride.
We agree that Adam is to Eve what Christ is to the Kingdom “Bride” (John 3:29), as a ‘helper’ (Genesis 2:18-20) making intercession for many. However, the Apostle Paul never uses the term ‘bride’ (Numphe = http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon...565&Version=kjv) even once in any of his Gentile Epistles to the members of the “BODY of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12) saved by our Word of the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:18) gospel message. A problem with this analogy is that Adam and Eve were man and wife apart from any ceremonial ritual, because his helper was taken from him inward part (Genesis 2:20-22). Another problem is that the Greek term (Numphe) describes a woman ‘betrothed’ to marriage under the promise, ‘before’ she actually attains to becoming a ‘wife.’ That is why everyone saved by the “Gospel of the Kingdom” (Matthew 4:23 , Matthew 9:35 , etc.) must ‘endure to the end’ (Matthew 24:13) AND take part in the “Marriage Supper Of The Lamb” (Revelation 19:5-10). Those of us saved by obeying Paul’s “my gospel” (Romans 2:16 , Romans 16:25) are seated “IN Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6) even now and members of His body as we speak with NO requirement or need to become part of any Marriage ritual at all.
UC >> Eve sinned, and Adam was not deceived, but because he loved Eve, he took upon him the same sin and was Cast out of Eden with her.
I do not believe you will find the terms “Adam” and “love” used in the same verses anywhere in Scripture, but I catch your drift. The first use of the term “love” is in Genesis 22:2 describing the relationship between Abraham and his son Isaac being prepared for the Moriah sacrifice. The fact is that Eve was taken from Adam’s side in the same way this visible creation was taken from the side of ‘Eth ‘Erets (Genesis 1:1 = The Earth), which finds Adam subjected to the same futility as Creation:
“For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.” Romans 8:20-22.
Adam sits in the same exact position of the heavens groaning to be reunited with the earth counterpart through the agency of ‘heaven,’ so once again he can obtain his Singularity Expression form of Genesis 1:1. The Genesis 2-4 depiction of Adam (spirit witness), Eve (water witness helper) and her seed (only begotten blood witness) is the same story of Genesis 1 creation told from a ‘human’ incarnation perspective where the entire ‘Eth ‘Erets (The Earth) Genesis 1:1 creation is Adam and Eve (water witness) is the visible universe coming from his Singularity Expression side. Another type of this story is found in Christ’s crucifixion where water and blood (John 19:34) also come from His side, as provisions for His Bride (water witness = body of Moses) and the seed represented by the “Body of Christ” under construction today. The same exact situation is found in the relationships between “The Word” (Singularity Expression) with the Father (spirit witness like Adam), Son (blood witness like her seed) and Holy Spirit (Helper = John 16:7 like Eve = Genesis 2:18) coming from His (The Word’s) side. Eve is the deceived transgressor (2 Timothy 2:14) in the same way our physical universe is the water witness vehicle of expression for the heavens (spirit witness) and heaven (blood witness) making the earth a ‘weaker vessel’ (1Peter 3:7) for the unseen realms of this universe. Therefore, the visible universe is the ‘bride’ for the heavens coming to betroth the visible universe in marriage, as all things are summed up IN Christ (Ephesians 1:9-10).
UC >> Just like Christ, he loved his bride and according to the Book of Corinthians he became the Sin for his Bride. Amazing. Any other types you see in the bible?
I agree with you 100 percent that Adam is the willing victim representing the heavens intent on betrothing the visible universe back to himself in a holy union that transforms this current broken universe back into the restored Singularity Expression of Genesis 1:1. That means Elijah is typical of Adam and Moses is typical of Eve standing on either side of Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration being summed up “IN Christ” as God’s Living Word.[IMG]Moses (Eve) stands on the left of Christ in the exact position of the New Earth of Figure 2 representing the ‘men’ of the physical universe, while Elijah (Adam) stands in the position of the heavens representing the ‘angels,’ as their ‘greater half’ counterparts yearning to be restored to their singularity expression perfection state of Genesis 1:1 within the Kingdom of Heaven the very same way. Our mystery church has citizenship in heaven (Philippians 3:20) within the central blood witness between them judging the world and the angels (1 Corinthians 6:2-3), because those are two witnesses of the same ‘living soul’ in the image of Adam from Genesis 2:7 with Eve and her seed “IN” him. It is not that Adam ‘had a soul’ in Genesis 2:7, but his spirit, soul and body were all the ‘same thing;’ which made the original ‘son of God’ (Luke 3:38) a singularity expression like the perfect beings from Genesis 1:1 ‘before’ the creation was made formless and void in Genesis 1:2. Our transformation from mortal to immorality (1 Corinthians 15:51-53) will include a restoration process that unites your earthly image with a heavens angelic counterpart waiting intently to become reunited with his weaker vessel earthy counterpart. Yes. There are hundreds of types in Scripture from Genesis to Revelation represented by the relationships existing between three witnesses of spirit, water and blood. The man (spirit witness), woman (water witness helper) and your seed (blood witnesses) mirror the relationship of your own spirit, soul (blood witness) and body (water witness), but only if you have eyes from God to see them. :0) In Christ Jesus even now,Terral
