How would you describe walking or living in the Spirit and not the flesh?

To walk in the Spirit is to walk in light and energy

E = mc2

or

m = e / c2

There is a spiritual light and energy.

E = warmth, get up and go, love

c2 = faith hope charity (spiritual fruit as in Galatians 5)

The opposite of light and energy would be darkness and absolute zero... Which would be the opposite of e / c2

darkness = fear, hate, despair

absolute zero = coldness, laziness, hate

I have heard from ex-satanist that the presence of demonic spirits is a cold spirit. They have lost the ability to generate spiritual warmth.

But what have we here in the flesh?

I have heard preachers say that the devil and the flesh are so akin its hard to discern between the two....

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Galatians 5:19

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Galatians 5:20

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:21

Fasting and prayer is a great way to deal with the flesh!

I like your scientific e=mc way of putting it lol, I have to agree walking in love is walking in the Spirit, and just looking past the flesh to see the things of the Spirit, looking past faults, bearing burdens and seeing the unseen.

Fasting and prayer is a great way to deal with the flesh!

Yes indeed, but seems that both fasting and praying hold many different meanings to many believers, can you elaborate on what fasting and prayer is to you?

I guess there are extremities to fasting here...

The lease extreme to most extreme...

Material fasting - Going without cell phones, TV's, premium cable, etc.
Convenient food fasting - Going without soda's, sweets, fast food, etc.
The Daniel Fast - Basically beans and water.
Food Fast - Going without food
Extreme Fast - Going without food and water.

I have been on a TV fast in which I only have limited cable (about 15 channels). Though I miss channels like ESPN, The Animal Planet, Discovery, I usually pick up my bible and read it when there is nothing to watch... I really feel close to the Lord when I do this.

Seven Steps to the shekinah glory...

***The Outside Temple***

1. Outer Fate - Justification
2. Alter - Salvation
3. Laver - Sanctification (Outward)

***The Inside Temple***

4. The Table of Shewbread - The word of God
5. The Lampstand - The Spiritual Light (walking in the spirit)
6. The Alter of Golden Incense - Praise and prayer

*** The Shekinah Glory***

7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

For me when the fasting is working I feel as though I am back in the inside of the temple feeling the power and closeness to God.Throw in a conference at the Thomas Road Baptist Church or a Pentecostal revival and its like... Whoopee! Thank you Jesus!

Prayer is definately a part of walking in the Spirit, giving thanks for everything and praising God for everything, worshiping him in spirit and truth.

How about prayer?

6. The Alter of Golden Incense - Praise and prayer (fasting too)

As I would see it... Though different point of views can be exercised here...

The best effects of fine persons are felt after we have left their presence. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have been on Baptist retreats as a youth that I have felt the sensation of being inside the temple...

I have often wondered about the following scripture....

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: -Revelations 3:12

In other words we are going to have the goods inside our spiritual temple never to be taken away from us. Unlike our life on earth were we go through dry times... Seemingly a million miles away from the inside temple at times.

But while we are on planet earth prayer and fasting are definitely priorities!

This is your definition of prayer? Can you elaborate some more. Trying to gain some insight as to what you believe.

Referencing my video on the churches...

From a Sardisean Church age side of things...

Jerry Falwell once said that "Nothing is accomplished apart from prayer."

It is a pleasure for me to drive down RT 460 and see the wonderful reality of Liberty University and the Thomas Road Baptist Church. Though few like the man Jerry Falwell I am proud of him when I see all that was accomplished for Gods glory. And like so many of we Virginians the man has both a tender and a tough side of him. But we are talking a man of prayer here . Its a pleasure to see Jonathan Falwell follow in his steps. I also enjoy the music ministry of Charles Billingsley. Had I lived closer to Lynchburg I would have loved to have attended Liberty and got a degree there.

The Bible Broadcasting Network has a program called The Family Alter in which I tune into regularly (http://www.bbnradio....rg/WCM4/english). As I work third shift I will pray along with these people at 1:15 PM when I wake up and at 4:00 AM when I am at lunch break at work. At the pause of each request I will pray "Father, undertake the needs in the name of Jesus!" and pray for my own requests as well. I will also say the Lords prayer adding "that you are the light (c2) and the energy (E) that went into the creation of the universe" and end my prayer in Jesus name.

From a Philadelphian Church side of things...

1. Pray to the Father as exampled in the Lord's prayer.
2. Ask these things in the name of Jesus as referenced so many times in scripture...
***And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13
***that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. - John 15:16
***And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. -John 16:23
***Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. -John 16:24
***At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: - John 16:26
***they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? -Acts 4:7
*** that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. -Acts 4:10
3. Believe that you will receive what you are asking for - Much scripture could be attached here - read the Gospels...
4. Give God the Glory for every thing accomplished in your life... Don't be lifted up in pride!

In which I also have a video response...

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=5GBEkXCsMcg

and...

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=9_1IlXkG53I

And in my little analogy of the temple...

***The Outside Temple***

1. Outer Fate - Justification
2. Alter - Salvation
3. Laver - Sanctification (Outward)

***The Inside Temple***

4. The Table of Shewbread - The word of God
5. The Lampstand - The Spiritual Light (walking in the spirit)
6. The Alter of Golden Incense - Praise and prayer

*** The Shekinah Glory***

7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

I may not have included enough references on prayer...

Even so
faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. - James 2:17

Then we have the issue of putting some legs behind the prayer and behind the faith.
