Totality Transfer Fallacy

A common word-study fallacy is to assume that the broad semantic range of a word is being used in every specific instance of that word. That is, the totality of the semantic range is illegitimately transferred. Or to put it in laymen's terms, the same writer does not always use the same word in the same way. At some level this is obvious, but it is good to be reminded of it.

Paul many times uses the word flesh (Greek sarx) in a negative, sin-dominated manner (for example, Gal. 5:17, Phil. 3:4). But at other times, he uses flesh with a neutral meaning as in "flesh and blood" (Gal. 1:16, 1 Cor. 15:50) or simply to refer to the whole physical body (2 Cor. 7:5). The mistake is to assume that every time Paul uses flesh (sarx), he is using a negative term.

New Testament writers have a wonderfully developed understanding of Christian faith that includes the total trust of the Christian in the person and work of Christ. However, sometimes the Apostles use faith in a more truncated way to emphasize the set of doctrines about Christianity, as for example in "one Lord, one faith, one baptism" (Eph. 4:5) and "to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). This meaning of faith well parallels our modern expression "the Christian faith." Of course, Christian faith is more than a set of Christian doctrines, but knowing some basic doctrine about the Trinity, Christ, salvation, sin, and so on is a required aspect of Christian faith. The totality transfer fallacy is to assume that everything the Bible says about the Christian faith is being equally emphasized every time the word faith is being used.

I'm glad I didn't call God of the Bible "sadist"!
You do when you teach a literal eternal suffering. All who do proves 100% they do not know God. I shared reality that cannot be denied.

You made a terrible mistake being taught by Kingdom Hall!
I know 100% they are the teachers Jesus appointed. I would never go to a house divided( 41,000 trinity religions) that will not stand. There errors have been proven fact. Catholicism translating(Greek Lexicons) has been proven full of errors to fit false council teachings.
The JW leaders were allowed into the catholic archives back in the 60,s or 70,s maybe even late 50,s, they came out with proof--the spirit, water and blood are the 3 witness bearers, not the father, son and holy spirit like is found in the Greek Lexicons and all bibles up until then. Then many translations changed to the truth. There are many other errors-The Greek Lexicons prove100% no capitol G God goes in the last line at John 1:1-every trinity scholar on earth knows its fact. If they said truth, 41,000 religions claiming to be christian would be no more, billions would be lost yearly, not to mention 2 billion humans suing those false religions. Fact-a house divided, will not stand.

Sweeping Generalisation - Dicto Simpliciter

A sweeping generalisation applies a general statement too broadly, such as, "children should be seen and not heard" or "all atheists support adultery".

Watchtower makes sweeping generalisations, particularly related to supporting its black-and-white thinking that Witnesses alone are worthy of salvation. This is evident when promoting Witnesses as the happiest, most loving and moral group on earth, as well as claims that only Witnesses preach.

Only Witnesses demonstrate Christian love

This is an inaccurate generalisation. It is a normal for sects to say that they are the most loving group and the smaller the group the more convinced they are that they are part of an irreplaceable family. Jesus said love would identify his followers and all Christian groups claim to follow this command and to be motivated by love. Aspects that bring into question the Watchtower claim of love is their lack of charitable works, their view of worldly people and shunning.
41,000 trinity religions= a house divided, will not stand.-They fail this other true mark 100%-1Cor 1:10--Unity of thought( all of Gods 1 truth) no division.
You have no clue as to the charity of JW,s. They dont do it for men to pat them on the back. God requires shunning--He said do not even eat a meal with one called( brother, or sister=baptized) who become unrepentent.1Cor 5:9-13) Titus 1:13--reprove with severity--Jesus said members of ones own household would become their enemies( Matt 10:36)
