Here is what the Bible says in the Ten Commandments:

For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:11).

Since the Ten Commandments were literally written with *the finger of God* we can rest assured that they cannot be false or misleading. If the LORD made (created) heaven and earth in the six days described in Genesis 1, then there can be no question that nothing existed before that time. Therefore there could not have been a Pre-Adamite earth.

As the posted article says: Christians today have no mandate from God to reinterpret His infallible Word to make it fit any current fallible atheistic human opinions.

@Triumph1300

Nice to see you...you have been missed ... :)

My answer would be yes, I have the "cave men" and Dinosaurs pre Adamic. I have never understood the why of it, but that is the only place that I can fit them in.

It's good to interpret the Old Testament in the light of the New Testament.
Yes I was in awe with how God in His infinite Wisdom knew that the door satan entered through (1st Adam) could not be left open....it had to be closed and it had to be reversed. God told satan that because he deceived woman and caused the curse of sin that He would use woman to destroy him.

God's redemptive purposes through the seed of the woman have been truly wondrous...

The Six Days of Creation.

In Hebrews 11:3 the writer says; “By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God’s command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible.”

Calvin translates it; “so that they became the visibles of things not visible,” or, not apparent. And then says; “thus the same truth is taught here, as in Rom. 1:20, where it is said, that the invisible things of God are made known to us by the creation of the world, they being seen in his works.”

He continues; “God has given us, throughout the whole frame-work of this world, clear evidences of his eternal wisdom, goodness, and power; and though he is in himself invisible, he in a manner becomes visible to us in his works.”

Calvin, J., & Owen, J. (2010). Commentary on the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews (p. 266).

But what if we took this train of thought one step further? Saying the entire universe, eternally in God’s mind and decree became visible over the course of six days. The spiritual and eternally existing now clothed with time, space and matter? The same way metal shavings when dusted on a piece of paper with a magnet below, reveal the magnetic waves?

Like a huge house, light-years across. Where God flips the switch and all the lights come on at once. Taking moments for what would take trillions of light-years using space-time measurements?

More on this for any showing interest.

I believe there was a pre-Adamite world. I don't believe any humans were involved. As has been pointed out Adam was the first man. I believe certain beings did exist on this earth, of whom satan was over, as this was his area of rule before his fall.

Thus when satan rebelled, God shut the lights out, and submerged the earth in water, which is it's condition in (Gen. 1:2).

All very imaginative, but without a shred of biblical support.

The six days of remaking the earth from the condition it was in after the war in heaven.

Verse 1 of Genesis shows in earth created to be lived on, not shapeless and void.

Isaiah reaffirmed that reality.

Pre-Adamic Creation
This article has imposed the author's MISCONCEPTIONS on to the Bible text. And he is expecting to see perfection BEFORE God started doing His creative works! That would be like asking a sculptor to have a perfect sculpture before he even starts working on the clay!

"But, in Genesis 1:2, the earth was an empty, chaotic [Tohuw] wasteland [Bohuw] in water [T@howm]. This is not perfection, but the opposite."

"Formless" means exactly what it says -- without form. And"empty" does NOT mean a chaotic wasteland at all. It simply means devoid of any form of life.
תֹ֙הוּ֙ to·hu = formless (while it can have other meanings, this is the correct one), and וָבֹ֔הוּ va·vo·hu or vabohu = empty. Therefore the MAJORITY of English translations have followed these meanings.

New International Version
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
New Living Translation
The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
English Standard Version
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
New American Standard Bible
The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
King James Bible
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Holman Christian Standard Bible
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
International Standard Version
When the earth was as yet unformed and desolate, with the surface of the ocean depths shrouded in darkness, and while the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters,
NET Bible
Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.
GOD'S WORD® Translation
The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Spirit of God was hovering over the water.
World English Bible
Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Webster's Bible Translation
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

THE MINORITY TRIED TO ACCOMMODATE EVOLUTION
English Revised Version
And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
American Standard Version
And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Darby Bible Translation
And the earth was waste and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Young's Literal Translation
the earth hath existed waste and void, and darkness is on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God fluttering on the face of the waters,

And not one of these dared say *chaotic*!

If God was *remaking* the earth, He would have said so in Exodus 20:11. But since He was creating the heavens and the earth and He said that He *made* everything in six days, your denial of God's truth is very revealing. In fact it undermines the Ten Commandments as well as the Genesis account!

And there was no *war in heaven* at that time. God simply cast out Satan and his angels from the third Heaven. The war will be in the future before the reign of the Antichrist (Revelation 12 & 13). And that will be in the atmospheric heaven (which is presently occupied by *the prince of the power of the air and his evil angels).

I agree. It kinda throws out the whole seven-days narrative, along with the teaching on the Sabbath, and the teaching that in Christ we rest from our own works, and the prophetic parallels to the six thousand years and the 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth during the millennium...
It makes a farce out of the totality of scripture, when you really get right down to thinking about it.

I mean no offense to anyone who believes in a pre-Adamic age, but I see it as a needless fabrication. Why believe in it? The only reason I can see was aptly put forth by the writer in his concluding paragraph:

Hugh Ross and his fellow progressive creationists, along with the other pre-Adamite proponents, are trying to rescue the Bible from a perceived conflict with ‘science’ by reinterpreting the Bible rather than by questioning the ‘science’. This is because they erroneously think that ‘science’ speaks with more authority than God’s Word about origins and the age of the Earth.

Young's Literal Translation

We discussed all this before.

The meaning of the word was in the Hebrew does not mean created that way. It means became.

God created darkness, it did not exist naturally.

Isaiah disproves your claim.

Isaiah 45:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 For this is what the Lord says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited—
he says:
“I am the Lord,
and there is no other.

James 1:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. The Creation Of The Earth And The Origin Of Satan | cfcindia, Bangalore

The word translated "was" in Genesis 1:2: "And the earth was without form and void" is the Hebrew word "hayah", which should actually have been translated as "became" - and it has been translated as "became" in the following verses:
"man became (hayah) a living soul" (Gen. 2:7)
"Lot's wife became (hayah) a pillar of salt" (Genesis 19:26).She wasn't always a pillar of salt. She became one. In the same way, the earth became without form and void.

Two different words are used in Genesis 1 in relation to the creation and the re-making of the earth. The word used in Genesis 1:1 is "bara" (Hebrew for "created"). The word used in Genesis 1:7 is "asah" (Hebrew for "made").

bara nmeans out of nothing while asah means to remake what exists.

The earth was created out of nothing but during the six days it was reshaping one already existed. Therefore what was created in verse one became the condition it was in verse two.

That is because of the war in heaven that included the pre-adamic beings.

Along those lines are claims the four living creatures in heaven are angels. But by definition they are made of flesh.

I believe they are the representatives of the pre-adamic that did not rebel and those that did became demons.

Around the throne Revelation we see the four living creatures, angels, 24 elders and church. Each representing their group.

The problem here is that Enoch is a KJV Only believer. But the KJV is loaded with errors he tries to defend, even the changing of Passover to Easter, a holiday that was invented by the Catholics and did not exist at the time of the apostles. Not to mention Easter is about the resurrection while Passover is death passing over Israel.

I am the author of the link I post. It is on my website.

And it is insulting and totally false to try to claim I support evolution.

People need to read my link because it is back versus and word definitions.

The prior post refute your arguments.
Cave men could have existed after the Flood, and dinosaurs could have been wiped out during the Flood of Noah.

The dinosaurs could not have been wiped out in the flood.

Two of every kind, minimum, was taken on the ark and in all Genesis there is never a mention of anything like a dinosaur.

Nor can the war be future since the fallen angels are imprisoned in the pit until Judgment Day. Yet you have them running around free.
