Because we are so unworthy to be saved, that's why the Lord's salvation is so precious.
This is so true. And I wish the church would understand that before one takes communion. I saw all kinds of reasons for putting on brakes as to why a person cannot or is not ready to take communion. According to the apostle Paul, one only needs to discern the Lord's body. The eyes have to be focused on the Lord, not confession of sin, or "am I worthy" nonsense. If a person can see this much, I don't care if the person next to me taking communion is a doped-up addict as long as they can think straight enough to understand the significance.No one is worthy. We are made worthy by the blood of the lamb.
