We need to check ourselves for time to repent and get right before God is almost up

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

We need to turn to the Lord not because time is running out but because He loves us and wants the best for us.

Absolutely! We should not say we want to make Jesus the Lord of our life just to be spared of the wrath to come. But we can only fool ourselves, we can not fool God, He knows the hearts of men and who are really Walking in Christ.

True, Our Father is not a child abuser and seeks His best for us, He provides, protects and heals those who love Him and His Word, desiring to flee this life of darkness chaos, confusion and misery.That is why He sent us His Word in the first place, so that we could Repent of our failed attempts at life without God, and humble ourselves Under His mighty Hand/Word/Christ because He knows what is best for us.
But we must be willing to learn to be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only but walking by faith that what is written Shall come to pass and that the teachings are LIFE. Those of the old covenant had the written Word but did not mix it with faith to take God.. at His Word and many of them died in Their wilderness.

But my post is about strenghthening your faith and hold fast to the Christ, the Word that we confess to love with all our hearts repenting for any shortcomings before it is too late. For when time is up, it will be like musical chairs, what ever condition we each are in when the time is up, that is where you will sit down, some with him on the throne of his Father at the Right-eous Hand of God and some will not have a place to sit in His kingdom. So if you have not been walking straight on the path of the good Shepherd, then you best obey the Rod and get back in line for the time is almost up and no more changes can take place.
