I know we know how to detect a radio signal.

I know we know how to send a radio signal.

I know a radio signal can travel through a vacuum.

I know a radio signal can travel through a solid object.

But this does not tell me what a radio signal “IS”.

Anybody have a clue?

Your question brings to my mind "The prince of the power of the air" Satan has infiltrated everything in this world. Think MSM? Radio signals are transmitted through the air, Satan is the god of this world.
"2 Corinthians 4:4
By blinding the minds of men to the true gospel of God, Satan has set himself up as a counterfeit of the Creator God. As the prince of the power of the air, he broadcasts his evil, rebellious attitudes to all humanity, and except for a few whom God has called out of his deceptions, the whole world lives under his sway (Ephesians 2:1-3; I John 5:19; Revelation 12:9)."
This probably does not answer your question, just my immediate thoughts after reading the OP. ♥

i'm sure google could explain it better than me, but it's really just a vibration wherein we can modulate either the frequency (FM) or the amplitude (AM) in the "radio" frequency range
