What “is” a radio signal-?

I know we know how to detect a radio signal.

I know we know how to send a radio signal.

I know a radio signal can travel through a vacuum.

I know a radio signal can travel through a solid object.

But this does not tell me what a radio signal “IS”.

Anybody have a clue?

A radio signal is a form of electromagnetic energy, and manifested as waves or wave/particles. Radio waves can be from 1 mm to 100 km.

i'm sure google could explain it better than me, but it's really just a vibration wherein we can modulate either the frequency (FM) or the amplitude (AM) in the "radio" frequency range
