Weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth being cast out into the outer darkness?

Do you see all around us, angry hateful and violent people who seem to be living in a hellish life, torment, always crying and out of anger they gnash their teeth to get vengeance on those they feel hurt them instead of forgiveness? These return evil for evil and are always in the heat of things, crying out in their rebellion "Why me, Why me"? and even though some seek God they can not seem to overcome their sinful ways and keep falling back into the fires because they wonder off the path to life, into the out darkness because they refuse to walk on the straight and narrow path where the Good Shepherd guides us to safety and peace when we walk WITH His Word for my sheep hear my Voice says God.
They still walk CROOKED, just seeming not to be able to walk straight to find their promised land. They fail to find their way out of the HOT WATER(lake of fire) with God... and they never seem to get any rest as they stumble around in the darkness searching for the LIGHT switch as they trip and fall, trip and fall, trip and fall. If they would just follow Jesus as they promised they would making The Word Lord of their life... to LIVE BY, they could find peace and wholeness. Instead they keep going around the mountain wandering in their wilderness in hardship, wailing and gnashing of teeth in the lust's of their carnal nature never reaching the promised land God has for them remaining in their iniquity.

Matt 8:10Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
KJV
Matt 13:39-43
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
KJV
Matt 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
KJV
Matt 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
KJV
Luke 13:24-29
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door{CHRIST IS THE DOOR} and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
KJV
Matt 22:10-14
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:{WAS NOT DRESSED IN WHITE,MADE HOLY THROUGH THE WORD}
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless (NO WORD IN HIM).
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

I think you're on to something here. I've come to the point where I no longer believe that hell is a literal fire or that God is going out of his way to torture people in hell. Certainly in the parable of Lazareth and the Rich man, the rich man in hell was able to have a coherent conversation and wasn't screaming in pitched agony as would be expected of somebody aflame.

We all seem to agree that hell is the absence of the presence of God, but what does that look like?

From Psalm 88:

Lord, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
16 Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
17 They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
18 Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.

From Psalm 6:

5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

We can do things in life to cut ourselves off from God's presence, but in hell that severance will be complete. The "wailing and gnashing of teeth" is a clue for what awaits the damned. Without the presence of God, people are left with all the nastiness and corruption that we are without God. Bitterness and loneliness, restlessness and grief. There is no consolation, no silver lining, no hope. And most important of all, in eternity all lies will be abolished forever and God's eternal truth will reign unredacted and unopposed in heaven and in hell; for it will no longer be possible to distort the truth. What that means for people in hell is that they can no longer deceive themselves, claim persecution or otherwise shift blame for the choices they made in life. Truth will be relentless and cruel accuser, an irresistible torment, the metaphorical "flames" of hell. For people will finally understand they are without excuse and God's judgment is righteous.

And worst of all, God's presence will be absent. It's difficult to describe what this is like because here in this life "the rain falls on the just and the unjust". People experience God's goodness even if they reject God. It's by this goodness that we can love, forgive, appreciate beauty, and repent of our wrongdoing. We reach out to each other, help each other, find humor and solace in the ebb and flow of life, and look hopefully to the future. Atheists claim the ability to be good without God, to their folly, for whenever people are good, whether saved or unsaved, they draw from a foreign resource.

So what would it be like without God's presence? It would be a horror and grief so profound as to suck the wind out of a person. It would be unmitigated despair, despondency, and inconsolable grief. It's wailing without end, and no rest for the soul, no end in sight. All this to say, hell doesn't have to be alight with flames in order to be a horrible, horrible place that nobody should go to.
