"In the sixth chapter of the book of Ezra, Scripture tells us the history of the appearance of the King James Bible. Scripture says that King James of England not only agreed to do this work, but also financed all the expenses of this work "out of the kings house".

"In the first yeere of Cyrus the king, the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Ierusalem: Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof of be strongly laid, the height therof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubites" (Ezra.6:3) (KJV1611AV)

Height and width indicate to us the "volume" of the Book. threescore cubits and threescore cubits, prophetically, that's 66 books. The Old Testament consists of three large sections: the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms. Separate from them is the New Testament. Jesus Himself called us three sections of the Old Testament:

"And hee said vnto them, These are the words which I spake vnto you, while I was yet with you, þt all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moses, & in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes concerning me" (Luke.24:44)

Notice how Scripture speaks prophetically about this construction of the Bible:

"With three rowes of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expences bee giuen out of the kings house" (Ezra.6:4)

The Old Testament is "three rowes of great stones", and the New Testament is "a row of new timber".

And so, unexpectedly for myself, I found a parallel place (1Kings.6:36). We will look at the last two paragraphs of the sixth chapter of 1 Kings. Solomon "built the inner Court..."

"¶ And hee built the inner Court with three rowes of hewed stone, and a row of Cedar beames." (1Kings.6:36)

Here again we are talking about the construction of the Bible, its structure. We are figuratively shown the Old Testament, consisting of three large sections, and the New Testament separate from them. But further, in the next paragraph, Scripture gives us two important dates.

The first date shows us the start of work on the King James Bible. The month and year when "was the foundation" laid were named.

The second date (month and year) denotes the completion of this work: the translation into English of all the books of the Bible, the preparation of the manuscript for printing, and the printing of the first editions. It is said: "was the house finished throughout all the parts therof, and according to all the fashion of it". This work continued for seven years.

"¶ In the fourth yeere was the foundation of the house of the Lord layd, in the moneth Zif.
And in the eleuenth yeere in the moneth Bul (which is the eight moneth) was the house finished throughout all the parts therof, and according to all the fashion of it: So was he seuen yeeres in building it."
(1Kings.6:37-38)

So, in February 1604, work began on the King James Bible. It is said: "in the moneth Zif, which is the second moneth" (1Kings.6:1). In August 1611, the King James Version of the Bible was completed.
"It was typed in an old Gothic type, had large sizes and was very heavy; often, for safety, it was chained to a music stand."

"Just one year after the huge, pulpital-sized King James Bible of 1611 was printed, and chained to the pulpit in every church in England, printing began on the very first editions of the King James Bible in acceptable sizes."

In the 1612 edition of the King James Bible, a final correction was made, namely, in the book of Ruth, the pronoun "he" was replaced with the pronoun "she" (Ruth.3:15). With this correction, it was reprinted in a small format with a Latin script. The year and month of this edition are given to us in the sixth chapter of the book of Ezra.

"And this honse was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixt yere of the reigne of Darius the king." (Ezra.6:15)

"the third day" means the third month - March. The month of Adar is the twelfth month in the Hebrew calendar, so the month of Adar signifies the 12th year; "the sixt year" means six centuries.

So, seven months have passed since the first edition of the King James Bible was published. In March 1612, the construction of the "house of God" was fully completed.
This small-format edition of the Bible was intended for ordinary people. More details about this are written in the work "The Bible of the King".

Welcome to the forums @Konstantin.

That’s one of the most astonishing pieces of commentary on scripture I’ve ever read.

I don’t think Ezra had anything remotely like that in mind when he wrote it. Do you?
Yes, Ezra did not know what he was writing about. But God knew what Ezra was writing about.

Yes, Ezra did not know what he was writing about. But God knew what Ezra was writing about.

Perhaps, but Ezra was definitely not writing about the King James Bible. Do you understand eisegesis?

It is an interpretation that expresses the interpreter's own ideas, bias, or the like, rather than the meaning of the text. Without too much effort, you can read just about anything into the meaning of Scripture, but that doesn't make it valid.

For example, threescore cubits and threescore cubits, prophetically, that's 66 books. Threescore is sixty; threescore and threescore is 120, not 66 (which is three score and six).

Also, the King James translation was based in large part on earlier translations, e.g., the Tyndale Bible and the Geneva Bible. Did Ezra miss out on that information?

You sound like you're a King James Version Only advocate, which is a false position. In fact, KJVOs are banned in some forums because of their persistence in denying that other translations have validity.

What's your take on the chapter and verse numbering system used in the early English Bibles before the KJV which the translators used. Is there anything info on that in the bible? I think most all bibles use them today.

To keep it in context Konstantin, Jesus was speaking of his own reality, not that of the KJV.
Being mindful of context keeps many pitfalls at distance. Without that consideration, one can make anything say anything.

The King's Bible has not only verses and chapters, but also prophetic contexts marked with ¶. In addition, the order of the books of the Bible is also prophetic.

"...And now, pay attention to the essential distinction of the King James Bible from all another previously published Bibles. In the regulation of the translators of the King James Bible were all texts of the books of the Old Testament and the New Testament, recorded in the originals of the antiochian manuscripts. It is have been said: “and search was made” (Еzra.6:1), and “there was found” (Еzra.6:2). God himself gave instructions to find these texts, they specifically sought its and ones were found. These antiochian manuscripts are the foundation on whom “the house was built” in the SEVENTEENTH century. But the translators of the other Bibles had not such manuscripts, they were hidden for them, and they used, mainly, the available translations for it, they used to what was “at hand”. The fact is, that the Roman Catholic Church and “their companions”, through the dark ages, have made great efforts for the destruction of the manuscripts that contained the word of God. The owners of these manuscripts have died with a martyr’s death, and manuscripts were burnt at the stake. For example, the Bible Luther, before his death, was published 13 times, and with each subsequent edition each time were the new fixes. And this process could go on to infinity, but errors in the translation would not be less, because these texts, whom were taken advantage translators, already contained errors. Perhaps these translations had been deliberately damaged, as all the Roman texts of the Vatican. It is not difficult to guess, who the author of those distortions was.

As no deeply popular language is written the Luther’s Bible, and as no great scholarship the author of the translation was, but his work was not inspired. And to whom needs a house, which is built on the broken foundation, if there is a choice? This applies to all, without exception the Bibles, issued prior to 1611. The scripture, in respect of the authors of all these translations, figuratively says: They were not forbidden to “build”, but also permission from “the King”, for carrying out of these works there was not. But in that time their works were of great value. And in fact, if “the prophets of God” (Еzra.5:2) did not say prophetic speeches “in the name of the God of Israel” (Еzra.5:1), show initiative to resume “construction”, then someone would become search “in the kings treasure house” (Еzra.5:17)? Their role and contribution to the “construction” are obvious. The beginning of the Reformation in the SIXTEENTH century was the beginning of a new period in the history of “Сhurch of the first born”, it is the period “of the church in Philadelphia” (Rev.3:7). It has kept the word of God in the international language of that time.

Thus, writing of the King James Bible was the expression of the “Kings will”. Only this translation was “sanctioned” from above. Only this translation is the word of God, saved correctly..."

Cutting-and-pasting from somebody's published opinion doesn't mean much. Anybody can do it from any perspective.

Two things seem quite obvious: you joined this forum to post your opinions (and those of others) to prove some myth about the King James translation being the only true word of God.

Yo have made up your mind that every other translation is invalid, so you will find all kinds of "proof" to back up your predetermined viewpoint. Anyone can do that about anything, for example, that Bigfoot actually exists in the forest of the US Northwest and/or that aliens actually landed in Roswell, NM. A professor of mine in graduate school told me that you must try to prove yourself wrong. If you can't do that, your argument will stand up to the scrutiny of others.

It is useless to bring up all kinds of "proof" that the King James translation is the pure word of God. It's not! It's just a translation ordered by a secular king to justify and codify his personal idea of Protestantism. One of the main purposes was to justify the rule of a secular king, thereby glorifying himself.

All translations have a purpose: to communicate God's words, written in ancient cultures, to our minds and our modern understanding. The King James translation is written in a dead language to a culture that no longer exists.

Welcome to the forums @Konstantin.

That’s one of the most astonishing pieces of commentary on scripture I’ve ever read.

I don’t think Ezra had anything remotely like that in mind when he wrote it. Do you?
Scripture speaks of the King James Bible and the New Testament books. "Formula" 4 + 1 defines the entire period of time from the day of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross until the rapture of the "Church of the first born" (Heb.12:23). This period of time is designated by Scripture as "the night" (John.9:4). But the "morning cometh" (Is.21:12).

"...We read (John.19:23-24):

Ҧ Then the souldiers, when they had crucified Iesus, tooke his garments, (and made foure parts, to euery souldier a part) and also his coat: Now the coate was without seame, wouen from the top thorowout.

They said therefore among themselues, Let not vs rent it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall bee: that the Scripture might bee fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the souldiers did.”

And it was fulfilled the prophecy: “They part my garments among them, and cast lots vpon my vesture.” Ps.22:18. The four parts of His “garments” were as equivalent to each another, and the vesture was not a “patchwork”, it was “without seame”. The vesture was made, as a single whole, without seams, it was not subject to any division...

The word of God by prophecy shows unto us that, firstly, the period of the Church in Christ Jesus is divided into five parts. The four of which and one the last part form two qualitatively different period of time. Secondly, there is a certain date, the event, which separates one period of time from the other one...

We read (Act.21:8-11):

“And the next day we that were of Pauls company, departed, and came vnto Cesarea, and wee entred into the house of Philip the Euangelist (which was one of the seuen) & abode with him.

And þe same man had foure daughters, virgins, which did prophesie.

And as wee taried there many dayes, there came downe from Iudea a certaine Prophet, named Agabus.

And when he was come vnto vs, he tooke Pauls girdle, and bound his owne hands and feete, and said, Thus sayth the holy Ghost, So shall the Iewes at Hierusalem binde the man that oweth this girdle, and shall deliuer him into the hands of the Gentiles.”

Here the seven deacons prophetically are the “seven churches”; it is our whole period of the Church in Christ Jesus. And once again we see the same “formula” (4 + 1), we have, on the one hand there are “foure daughters, virgins, which did prophesie”, and on the other there is “a certaine Prophet”.

Notice how, after the words “foure daughters, virgins, which did prophesie”, it had been said: “wee taried there many dayes”, these words have been said about the whole period of time, up to 1600 prophetic years, and here it is: “there came downe from Iudea a certaine Prophet, named Agabus” and that Prophet said on behalf of the holy Ghost: “Thus sayth the holy Ghost”. These “foure daughters, virgins, which did prophesie” were absolutely equal among themselves, according to the ability to prophesy, and their ability in this case were fairly modest, compared with the fifth who is “a certaine Prophet”. The man always has the leading role. The man is the head, and the woman was created for Adam, as “an help” for him. So and copies of the originals of the antiochian manuscripts, “foure daughters, virgins, which did prophesie”, were, as would only to help for writing a complete unified indivisible Book of all books, of the King James Bible of 1611, under supernatural control of the Holy Ghost." (From work by S.Y. Kharchenko “Four plus one.”)

The Scriptures don't just talk about the US and Russia and the King James Bible and other things, even though the Antiochian manuscripts were written before they were. By the way, your statement that the Bible appeared in the first century is incorrect.

The Bible says nothing about the King James translation, which was created many centuries after the last "book" of the Bible was written. It is the epitome of eisegesis to decide that a belief is true (in your own mind) then fabricate evidence from the Bible to "prove" your point.
