A couple of weeks after the funeral I tried to be a volunteer for the local Hospice that was there for my mom when she was in Palative care.

It was far too soon to deal with those who were about to make the journey mom did. I believe that kind of volunteerism is a calling. As is the nursing end of it.

But my mom fell and had hip surgery on March 5. She was bedridden from that day on. She stopped eating on June 3 and took very little water.

She passed on June 21, after nine days on hospice care at our apartment. Thankfully she had no pain.

Oh Debp, I did not know your mom passed. My deepest condolences sister, you honored her till her last breath.
