What I Hear Him Say

Walk with Me - don't leave My side,
Give to me what from the world you hide
That I may heal the wound inside
Which keeps you hanging on -
To this world, and to this life
With all its wants and endless strife,
Which through your eyes once seemed so right -
But to which you don't belong.
I know you - you're one of Mine,
And I won't let go at any time;
Won't let you fall, you're free to shine -
I'll lift you when you're low:
If this world you lose - you win,
So empty your hands for Me again;
Open your heart and let Me in -
Do not fear the letting go.
Hear my words - just let Me in;
Let the healing of your heart begin,
And I will lift you up again:
If only you'll persist -
Do not quit, just keep going;
So that all you meet are knowing
That in you, My love is growing -
Please, My child, do not resist...
