New Testament "Meat"" is : Deeper Theology.

Paul told a immature group of somewhat carnal believers that he had to keep giving them "milk" because they could not deal with "Meat".

"Meat" : in the NT context regarding Satan, is...>"Doctrines of Devils". Which is also Theology, or Religious ideology,... Cult Theology.
This is all "dark light", the opposite of God's Light.

Here we go...

IN the NT....You have "milk", and you have "meat"...as these are 2 central ideas regarding >Spiritual Light<.

When you obey God and "study to show yourself approved "...You are not just reading the bible... You are encountering the light of Revelation, as Jesus who is in you, who is Himself the Light, reveals it to your born again Spirit, (Spirit man).

If you are born again for a month, you are to get all the "milk of the word" you can...the basics, the spiritual and theological and doctrinal fundamentals, from PAUL's Epistles.
Be sure of that.

As you get them, as you study..... God sees this effort, and gives you more ability to understand them more deeply, and that is "revelation".

If you study the NT a lot, then you have encountered this verse....>"and Jesus opened the scriptures to them". Luke 24:45.
That is God who is Jesus THE Word, revealing His own word.

LIGHT<> is truth, meat, milk.....wisdom.......its all that are the Spiritual Things, related to the Kingdom of God.
The Bible is Spiritual Light.
So, to get the "Light of revelation", is to have this Light revealed in you, as your spiritual eyes of understanding being = OPENED.
"and Jesus Opened the verses"..
He does this now, inside you, because He is in you (if you are born again, and not just water baptized)......"Christ IN YOU< the hope of Glory".
But you have to Study, or you have to listen to a anointed Teacher, who can reveal Light to you.

= Paul says to build your theology and your spirituality on GRACE, not on "Meat".
And "meat"... is referring to doctrines, and man's teaching, commentaries, and so forth.
See, you only dig into that, AFTER you are filled with the Light of the Revelation of God's Grace. Hebrews 13:9
And if you don't, you will be deceived, as Satan has more deceivers doing the devil's work, then God has Teachers, and Preachers, doing God's work.
Believe it.
You can Believe that about 100% of what is achieved in the Kingdom of God, that manifests as "God's work" on earth, is done by about 2% of the Christians.
The other 90% go to Church, then go to lunch, then go back to sleep in the Light.
The other's just stay asleep or build more fake churches across the Globe.
2% is a mighty number when God is in it.

Now here is a big problem....
The majority of people on a forum or in Church, who are confused, became so because their bible is their COMMENTARIES.
They are lost in them, and are deceived by them.
That is MEAT, and you can't go there until you are grounded in God's Grace, and filled with the full understanding of God's Grace, = as who you are, "in Christ".
If you haven't, then you can't discern the commentaries correctly.
Thats a fact.

Listen...
Commentaries are "Meat"., and we are not to build our faith and our theology on these......we are to do what Hebrews 13:9 says, instead.
We are to build our theology, our faith, and our spiritually, by being FUNDAMENTALLY GROUNDED, in GOD's GRACE, as our deepest deepest Theology and Belief system.
Salvation is "Grace THrough Faith", and Right Believing is : Faith AS Grace.
The correct understanding of Grace....is = "MADE RIGHTEOUS".
Its that, Saint.
Understanding Hebrews 13:9, means to come into the full understanding of God's Grace as:

= God has made you as Righteous as He is, and you are kept so forever, by the Blood Atonement, which is The Blood of Jesus....that is God's Blood.
This is "the Gift of Righteousness", .. this is "made Righteous"...this is : Salvation.

God has MADE YOU AS RIGHTEOUS, As He is, ....and you are kept so forever, by the Blood Atonement...The Blood of Jesus, that is God's Blood.

Saint, there is Power in the Blood of Jesus that exists as :

1.) redemption
2.) righteousness
3.) sanctification
4.) justification
5.) and eternal LIFE.

That's GOD's Grace. That is your "gift of SALVATiON" and your "gift of Righteousness".
And until a born again believer SEEs GOD's GRACE CORRECTLY, they are not going to rest in it, and that is why they believe they can lose their Salvation, and that is why they continue to sin and confess and live this way, and can't stop.

There is nothing wrong with reading commentaries...I have read a few that are heavy on "milk"

Milk is, in fact, the word of His grace. @Behold is right on that point.

Meat is doctrine that has more to do with obedience and how to be strong against temptation.

Meat provides protein in your spiritual body that you cannot get from milk.

The utter Core of the entire Bible is based upon seven perfect verses. If these verses did not exist, I would have remained confused about the Word of God for the rest of my life. The day I discovered these seven amazing verses, this was the day that the Bible . . . the ENTIRE Bible began to make sense.

Colossians 2:9-15 KJV - "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."

Colossians 2:9-15 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. 11 When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

Like I said, these verses give meaning to the entire Bible. For example, Genesis 3:22-24 should all of a sudden make perfect sense. :)

Your self saving theology proves you've read many.

And, i didnt say that reading commentaries was an issue, i said that if you look to them as "gospel", before you are grounded in the Grace of God.......This verse explains what im saying.... Hebrews 13:9

See, you have to ground your faith into the Grace of God, FIRST and foremost, so that God build revelations on top of it.

What you did, and what most do, is that you became confused about the Grace of God, because you didn't ground yourself fundamentally within this knowledge before you go caught up in men's teaching's.
And that is what Hebrew's 13:9 instructs you NOT TO DO.

The core message of the Gospel is the heart of the bible..
That is "God Righteousness" and how do you get it.

A person is accepted by God and kept by God because they have BECOME "the righteousness of God in Christ".

To not accept that, or to have known it but have lost the revelation, is to "fall from Grace".

Found it...

"Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil."

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.

Commentaires can be meat- or they can be foul disease ridden waste material. Depends on the author!

The meat of teh word is growing in Doctrine IWOW growing up! Stop wailing about sin and staying in the ABC's of teh faith and taking your place as a mature believer teaching others in the Lord!

Meat is hard to take. It is being disciplined staying in the Word and not drifting for me. Not really arguing for me, but sorting through the voices for me when it comes to deeper theologies. Im just now learning how to "make food," teaching the milk concepts I am confident of in God's Word. I may add input, but do not feel confident in meatier discussions. Frustrating part is I became a Christian when I was fifteen. And Ive been on CB for two years now. I just now was reminded how to put together a Bible study? How long have I been drifting again?

And I probably take in only half a very long post at a time. A lot of the debate things go over my head. Im doing a make over. Staying in the Bible study/fellowship areas awhile. Many leaving CB. I want to be the revival I want to see on here. Trusting God for that. I do sense a hunger for righteousness for many on here.

Falling from Grace, means to leave it.
Paul describes it as getting back into the "flesh"., and "being bewitched".

The best way to discern someone who is fallen from Grace is to learn from them if they believe they can lose their salvation.
As this person, is trying to keep themselves saved by works= and THAT is "to FALL from Grace".

Grace is God's redemption , supplied by God, that exists as the Blood Atonement.
Grace is God saving you with the Blood of Jesus, and keeping you saved with the blood of Jesus.
Philippians 1:6

Falling from this, is to leave faith in God to get you to heaven, and instead BELIEVE that you are responsible.
So, you will be concerned about doing stuff or being careful not to do stuff, and that STUFF, has become your savior.

Obviously we are saved by grace through faith.

So if someone falls from grace, they are no longer saved.

Therefore the very concept of falling from grace is conducive to a person falling from grace, according to @Behold's theology.

The reality is that we are kept by the power of God through faith (1 Peter 1:5) = we keep ourselves (1 John 5:18).

If we don't continue in His goodness, we will be cut off (Romans 11:20-22).

But we maintain the fruit of the Spirit, which includes goodness, through faith. Because we have the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14).

Faith is also a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and a gift of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9).

So then, those who are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 4:30, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 2 Corinthians 5:5) have everlasting faith.

They don't have to maintain it themselves.

This is provided that their faith is the proper kind of faith...a heart faith that is unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) and enduring to the end (Matthew 10:22, Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14).

Because there is also a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith that falls away when tempted (Luke 8:13).

What if we thought of Grace as something like a door that one would have to pass through?

If this notion might be True, would then, falling from Grace only happen if a person didn't go [through] the "door" of Grace?

John 6:44 KJV - "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

Christ is saying that it is impossible that those whom He purchased, His Death will not be of waste. He will not lose one of us. Not one. :) Whew!

I mean that they don't have to maintain their own salvation or keep themselves in faith...

Because they are sealed by the Holy Spirit and He keeps producing saving faith within them.

While there may be a need to desire that I might keep the faith as I endeavor to make my calling and election sure...making sure that my faith is in fact the right kind of faith and not the wrong kind.

Falling from grace might entail going out the same door that they came in...forsaking grace by leaving the mansion that is grace (because the door is Jesus and the key to the door is faith).
