What is up with that?

I've had a few people insinuating that most people aren't born again or don't have the spirit. And it shocks me that people are taught some strange message like this. I have also had a few people that I've shared my Holy Spirit messages from God with and have insinuated that it was the devil which is just blasphemy.

Honestly who is teaching these people this nonsense and why are people self righteous and judgmental like this. As if they are the only one with the spirit and hearing from God.

I've learned another way, and that is expecting God to bless everyone and teach everyone in their own way, as if he loves and cares about us. There are plenty of scriptures that show the fruits of the Holy Spirit and that God is pouring his spirit out on "all" flesh in these last days.

This really isn't a rant, it's a serious objection to obnoxious behavior of some people. I deserve a voice.

It may be that Christianity is a narrow path. But I don't think it's as complicated as some make it sound.

Jesus pointed to children as how we should receive the Kingdom.

I think when I start thinking negative thoughts about other Christians and their walk with God, it can be a discouraging trap. God will sort out the fake and the real eventually. I just need to focus on working out my own salvation with fear and living out the love of Christ.

I do think some people get further along and pride becomes a real temptation for them. That's the reason why Paul was given a thorn in his flesh!

I like to speak the truth when it's needed. Abusive people need to hear the truth or they will never change. That's been my experience. I think I have a responsibility to point some people to the truth and a better understanding of God. And I consider the issues I brought up in the OP to be abusive.

It's good that you care enough to speak up.

I must admit, I don't always speak up because it's easier not to. So I pretend not to care at times.
