What JESUS Taught Us At The Last Supper = John 13;3-5

**Leaders Are To Serve Their People:

John 13:3-5

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside His garments; and took a towel, and girded Himself. After that He poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded.

John 13:12-17

So after He had washed their feet, and had taken His garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither He that is sent greater than He that sent Him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Luke 22:25-27

And He said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as He that serveth.

**God Made A New Agreement With Mankind:

Matthew 26:27-29

And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Luke 22:20

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

John 14:1-3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

**Greedy Judas Was A Pawn In God’s Plan For Us:

Matthew 26:21-25

And as they did eat, He said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto Him, Lord, is it I? And He answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is written of Him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas, which betrayed Him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

John 13:2,18-19

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him;

I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am He.

John 13:21-27, 30

When Jesus had thus said, He was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom He spake. Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom He spake. He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto Him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when He had dipped the sop, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

**We Have A New Home Waiting For Us:

Matthew 26:29

But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Luke 22:28-30

Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

John 14:1-3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:28-29

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Something else we can learn from that account maam; that out of the great crowd of God's people who were attending the Passover that night, Jesus only made that covenant with the faithful 11. Is there any significance to that, that you are aware of?

Yeah, He started with them, and told them to tell others who will tell others who will tell others, that it is all for those who believe! Not just a teeny tiny few as the Watchtower lies to the world.

I never argue with Scripture sir. The Bible states clearly that the little flock is 144k. I have no reason to doubt that sir. Time will reveal if you or I are correct in our understanding.

No the Watchtower states the little flock is 144,000. The bible doesn't. The bible states the 144,000 are all male Jewish virgins . 12,000 from twelve tribes.

It is the Watchtower sir, who has reinterpreted the Scriptures to their destruction who say the little flock is 144,000. That is the Word of God and not the word of Men.

Virgins from what sir? Do you mean they never had sex?

They foreshadowed the little flock and the great crowd. Many of those people outside did accept the new covenant Ron as you stated, Luke records in Acts how thousands were being added daily, and they would have been from among those celebrating as you said sir.

Yes that is what happened. But the terms of the new covenant does not allow for a trickle solution to fulfill the covenant. It is to be fulfilled in the days to come when the houses of Israel and Judah (all Jewish people) will know the Lord.

That is what God said- but I suspect that you like the allegorists here believe that is not what god meant and you have what He really was trying to sya, as if He needs us to translate for HIm.

Or just the Catholics who believe theirs is the only true church.

That is what the term means! Even if the Watchtower disagrees, they do not get to redefine words to suit them.
Peter was married, do you honestly think he disobeyed God by not rendering his wife her due? 1 Cor 7:3; Mat 8:14. No sir they were virgins of something else, any further guesses?

The gathering started on Pentecost of 33 with the anointing of those in the upper room Acts 2. The Bible states that upon Jesus' return there will be some alive on the earth then that will meet him in the air 1 Thes 4:17. Many call that by the term rapture Ron. So basically it is a trickle addition as it took a couple of millenniums to gather them.

Well as He was not part of the 144,000 inane question! they are all sealed after God begins to pour out His wrath on the earth and all at one time! The 144,000 Jewish male virgins (12,000 from each tribe) have not even begun to be constituted yet. but that is reading the bible as god inspired it and not as a man made organization has reinterpreted it.

I see Ron. We believe he was, he was one Jesus made the covenant with, and he died faithful. I guess we disagree on who the 144k is.

I accept what the bible says are the 144,000, you accept the reinterpretation of what the Watchtower says they are.

The New Covenantr of Jeremiah 31 is made with the houses of Israel and Judah! that is all Jews "IN THAT DAY"

To the 144,000? No, there is nothing in Scripture or in the rules of Grammar God made for us to understand that says these have to be teh 144,000. It is only the speculative opining of a man made organization that does that.

The 144,000 are told us by gods word that they are 144,000 Jewish male virgins, 12,000 from each tribe. Any definition beyond that is mortal speculation. If it was that important to know, god would not have kept it buried for 2 millenia and wait until CT Russell could dream up that reinterpretation.

That is the difference Ron, I believe those are the bride of Christ, you don't sir.
