I have been thinking a lot about the state of affairs in the world. There is so much noise and distraction coming from all directions... elections... pandemics... mass shootings... fallen Christian leaders.

From these forums... I have learned that many people seem to have a poor view upon those who do not pay attention and/or participate in the social/political arena that desires to rule the world.

Those who are not interested in the matters of the world and do not pay attention to what is happening.... are deemed as deceived/cowards/ineffective Christians/not even Christians at all.

It seems Christianity is now being defined as STANDING up for our RIGHTS... when in all reality... Christ laid down His own.

My question to those who have made such NOISE in sounding the alarm regarding the stolen election/"plandemic" is...

How has focusing so much on these topics helped your Christian walk? How has any of what you have tried to "bring to light" ( in your thinking ) helped the cause of Christianity? How has it change one iota of anything?

Other than "clearing your own conscience"... I don't see any benefit to this 'enlightened' knowledge so many seem to desire to bring forth.

I have never lived my life caring what others think... and that has not changed. However... I truly am perplexed at what people are defining as living a Christian life.

I live in peace... I trust... I pray... I am grateful... I worship... and I live my life to the best of my ability according to what is thrown at me. I am a survivor... I am a blessed woman... because the Lord continues to heal and redeem me.

The fact that I refuse to SHOUT that my rights are being taken from me... does not make me any less a Christian.

Christ tells us to meditate on things which are noble... lovely and pure. I choose to live my life in this manner... He also tells us not to go by what we see... and feel. It is this complete trust in God that has allowed me to get through all the trials I have experienced.

I have learned like Solomon that everything outside of Godly matters are frivolous... and I have come to see that even though I do not please many Christians with my views... it is WELL with my soul.

I believe that many issues that Christians face today are caused by ‘mixture’ which undermines not only the word of God but God’s authority and sovereignty.

In the Old Testament there are many descriptions of how God’s people turned to worshiping other gods and idols made of base materials by human hands and his subsequent punishment of such behaviour.

It has been shown to me recently that these people had not entirely abandoned God, the Holy One of Israel, but that they had taken up these other gods AS WELL AS Almighty God. This is where the ‘Mixture, comes in. It waters down peoples’ perspective of God and distracts from his power and authority.

People have become dissatisfied with JUST one true God, they desire the other gods as well, such things as you have pointed out @Addy - politics, world events etc. - and in turn these other gods begin to become as, or more important to them than God himself.

Greetings, Addy, and blessings in Christ.

I fully agree that being consumed with politics is a problem for a Christian. There is another side to the coin, however, that you need to keep in mind. What happens on the world stage oftentimes has bearing on Biblical prophecy, and it is here where we not only have a responsibility to pay attention but a Biblical command to "watch" as the scriptures call it.

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief... 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-4, 6)

What Im saying is, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater or you disobey a Biblical command. Certainly don't be consumed with politics or even world events, but keep your eyes open for when things might be relevant to the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, and some of the things you listed above actually do.

God bless, and thanks for the post.

and Greetings back to you oh so tender one...

I do watch... I do search answers from God about things at times... but I do so quietly... and perhaps more with a sense of wonder about what HE is up to... and going to do.

I absolutely agree that we are in this world and therefore are obliged to participate in the runnings of our planet... I would expect that most people vote... and all people pay taxes... It is impossible to remain ABOVE it all... What I was meaning in this post is that it is the other court that seems to be making an awful lot of assumptions about those of us who do not feel the need to SHOUT.

With the above said... I know these are strange times... and that many are deeply disturbed over what has happened in this last year. But when everything is said and done... we survived... and God is still on the Throne.

Absolutely. :) I post on prophecy fairly often (i.e. I did, and will be doing so again), and some of it can get labelled as "fear mongering." That's not the intention. I've stated it many times that there isn't an army in this world that can take me out of here or prevent me from fulfilling my calling, so I really don't see what the big "concern" is. Yes, prophecies both Biblical and modern can describe some incredibly dark things coming upon the world and that can be troubling to the mind, at least those minds which have not been trained to understand the judgments of God. There will even be hardships for the body of Christ. But what does that mean to a blood-bought, Spirit-baptized soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ who understands that people die in war before they ever sign up? LoL.

And I'm with you on the rest of it. Scripture also commands that we think on that which is of good report and that which brings joy, so while I may teach and prophesy on the negative things going on in the world for a minute or two, I never live there for long. I'm too busy growing in the Lord, and concentrating on all the wonderful things He's doing in my life, even as the world keeps going to Hell in a handbasket, Lol.

God bless you, sister, and thank you for the nice post. :)

My question to those who have made such NOISE in sounding the alarm regarding the stolen election/"plandemic" is...

How has focusing so much on these topics helped your Christian walk?

One Walking IN Christ...The FOCUS is ALWAYS About TRUTH.

When the World is Shouting...
• BE in FEAR...a Virus is at your doorstep to Kill you.
• BE In FEAR...the World IS too Warm.
• BE in TRUST...Man (with your Wealth) can SAVE the World.
• Man (with your Wealth) can Give YOU PEACE.
• Man (with your Wealth) can Give YOU
SAFETY.

• When the World is Shouting LIES...PAY attention... Notice, Disagree, and Speak Gods Truth;
God is The Truth.
God is The Savior.
God is The Peace and Safety Giver.
God is The Way to Be Prepared AGAINST the exponentially INCREASING shouts of men "OF" the World.

You appear to be implying...to Ignore what is occurring and Only Speak Gods Word.

I say it's not either or.
It's both. You can not Warn by ignoring what the issue is.

Glory to God,
Taken

I have no problem with what you have stated... The judgement and wrath of God will be TERRIFYING.
What is to come is going to be equally terrifying.
Revelations reveals some truly horrific events... This war between satan and Christ is NOT a joke. The events that will take place and as you state are beginning to be birthed are all part of the FINAL show down.

I absolutely have no problem accepting this... although I do not understand it... I BELIEVE it.

Christ's suffering and death for our sins was a REAL EVENT with a price that we cannot even begin to fathom... even if we reflected on it night and day for our entire lives.

The size and power of the angels alone would be enough to make us die on the spot.

But as you say.... for Christians... although these thoughts are sobering... we are told NOT to live in fear.

Anyways... I have rambled on here. I guess I am just puzzled as to why quiet is equated with being deceived and a coward. LOL

I am stating that it seems that many Christians believe that if one chooses to live in peace and not be bothered with the things of the world... it means they are being compliant with sin/cowards.

I did not suggest we should IGNORE... but rather bring our concerns to God. Do you really think all the moaning and shouting about the corrupt election solved anything? There is not just ONE way to get things done.

Living a life of peace does not equate doing NOTHING.

Yeah, I suppose if I were to read the exact posts you were referring to I might be better informed, but I'm not sure I really want to, LoL. Part of "thinking on that which is of good report" involves trying not to look at other's sins, and maybe that's why the Lord protects me from reading a lot of negative stuff around here that's just excessive and morose, and doesn't lead to much edification for anybody.

Thanks for being very balanced in the way you see things, btw. I find that refreshing. Not everyone sees both sides of an issue, and this can prevent them from seeing the entire picture.

I am a seeker of TRUTH... I LOVE TRUTH... I have fought hard for many years to seek and find the truths of WHO GOD REALLY IS.
My faith is a sacred thing... all my scars and war wounds.... they have made me what I am... and GOD has been there every step of the way... to cheer me on... and to encourage me.. heal me and redeem me. He has convinced me that HE is who HE SAYS HE IS.

I have spent much time studying God's Sovereignty... and the price of Christ's death and resurrection. Perhaps this is why I am unable to understand the things of this earth as being remotely important... I truly am like King Solomon with my thinking... Everything is folly.

I live a simple life... and I am ever so grateful.

To me seeing both sides of an issue is REALITY. We are in for some perilous times... I understand that...
I also understand the VIOLENCE with which this battle must be and will be executed.

Among men working in men's ways it is too often so that the squeaky wheel [the one who INSISTS on shouting] gets the oil, but within God's kingdom it is the humble servant who is elevated by God:

"But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted" Luke 14:10-11

SHOUTING is worldly taught unacceptable...
Even in "typing", LOL.

In Scripture A SHOUT is Expressly to get ones attention, To Hear something important.

Acts 12:
[22] And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

1 Thes 4:
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
