Our kale has already started to sprout after a couple of days of planting. Now we're waiting on chives, napa cabbage, lettuce, bok choy, basil, sage to grow up and stop being dramatic about the heat, and so on.
Having said this, I would really recommend other people start growing at home if they are able to. Only because the economy is starting to fail.
