I thought of this question for some reason this morning and even though I was raised in church I don't know the answer. I know that Jesus was baptized and submerged in water. My understanding is that most Protestant church practice submersion when baptising. But there are a lot of churches besides the Catholic church that sprinkle babies. When did baptism change from submersion as an adult as the second step after salvation, to being sprinkled as a new-born baby? And do the churches that sprinkle babys believe that they are saved at that point?

I CAN’T ANSWER; When did Baptism become "Sprinkles"?But.................I can tell you ..............anyone that does get baptized.........without being Saved..................is a waste of time.................That polluted specked water will not save anybody.........if it could........Jesus wasted His time. This is ..... The cleansing agent…… Ephesians 5: 25-26 that he might..... sanctify and..... cleanse it with the *washing of *water by the *word SEE THE WASHING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT..Nobody can get Saved and nobody can get saved without the incorruptible seed of the word of God. IPeter 1 :23 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.God BlessLove123
