I bought a book by Eddie Chumney called,'' Who is the bride of Christ?''

I thought I had it all figured out, but I am still thinking.

Is the bride just Israel and Judah, or is Judah already married to God?

I look at the ten virgins as the congregation of Jesus being Gentiles in that Parable.

It's easy just to say that everyone who believes in Christ is the bride but there is something missing.

    Who are the guests?

Is there something better to be than just the bride of Christ?

The Bride and wife is the holy City new Jerusalem and the people are the children of her born of the Seed which is the Word of God being Christ.
Rev 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
    11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
    KJV

The virgins are not as you think, they are considered male for there is no gender in the spirit, they are all considered sons rather they are male or female in the physical. Jesus is the last Adam, Adam was both male and female in attributes made in God's image yet considered male until Eve(better half : ) was taken out of Adam. Jesus's body which is according to our spirit not our flesh as there is neither, Jew nor Gentile, male or female in the ONE NEW MAN.
God must be all attributes for everything must begin with Him.
The son's will marry the land of new Jerusalem that will come down to earth and inherit the KINGDOM of God. All others who are saved who did not were not chosen for the high calling of God to rule and reign with Christ shall come back in the great white thrown judgement and they will be the guests, while the 144,000 are the virgins, Man child of Rev 12:5 that will be caught up.
    Rev 14:1-5
14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written {THE WORD} in their foreheads{MINDS}.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
    KJV
    Matt 25:1-12
25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil{ANOINTED BY THE SPIRIT WHO TAUGHT THEM PERSONALLY} with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept{JUST PLAYED CHURCH}.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy{MAN WHOM YOU TRUSTED FOR YOUR LEARNINGS INSTEAD OF THE SPIRIT} for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready{MADE HOLY} went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut{CHRIST WAS THE DOOR, BUT NOW NO MORE HEAVENLY HOPE}.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
    KJV

They thought they were marrying a man called Jesus.... but they were supposed to be being birthed in his image as HIS HOLY BODY AS sons.
    Rom 8:19-22
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
    KJV
    Isa 62:4-5
4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
    KJV

When I see the 144,000 standing on Mount Zion, I see that the virgins have just given birth.

That's my opinion of it, that these people were redeemed from all mankind and remained virgins.

But those virgins give birth to sons of God, in that we have a child inside us to raise with the milk of the word, until it can understand the meet of the word.

But when I see ,'' Firstfruits'' I see a birth just as Jesus was the first born into that kingdom, the virgins also give birth, and that Jesus being born of a virgin points to the people who remain virgins and then give birth to grown men.

These ten virgins in the parables, I can't help but think that Ten is used to say,'' Congregation.''

But what had just happened, '' Then the master will come and cut that servant in half, and then the kingdom will be like ten virgins.''

I can't help but think that these virgins are the gentiles redeemed through a betrothal, I think of John preparing a highway for the return of gentiles from Ephraim and being then redeemed back into Israel by marriage.

But I'm still thinking about these things and I don't stand too firm on it, I can't seem to figure it out.

I think of the term,'' honored guests'' at the wedding and wonder who the guests are.

    The brethren of Jesus?

    The family of Jesus?

I also think about buying oil, I see it as finding needy Jews and helping them, well it's just an opinion, and I'm still looking at what you wrote.

    Thanks.

    Like your name Jacob_Rising,

If you see from just these few verses, that it is US who feed upon the milk of the Word and then as we grow more and more in the Word we will be able to chew and DIGEST the Meat of the Word for more spiritual understanding. We should as parents be producing godly children for God, but those who are the holy body of Christ must be being transformed into the image(attributes) of Christ.

    Gal 4:19
19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
    KJV
    1 Cor 3:1-3
3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
    KJV
    Heb 5:12-14
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
    KJV

We as born again spiritual babes must learn how to walk on the water of the Word and shed this flesh that holds us down from the blessings of God because it cause us to sin. The more we exalt the Word up in our life, the less flesh we have exposed.
Virgin means not spiritually fornicating with the devil doing his bidding such as lying, stealing, adultery etc... obeying his word, being unfaithful to God's Word aka Christ.

Is not Israel called THE WOMAN? The actions of the children of Israel are the faithfulness of the Woman. If you read in the song of Solo-man as Christ will be the One new man being made up of males and females in one body just as the first Adam until he was divided into two that became one flesh, you will see the bride in the song of Solomon described as a city.. but the children are what make the bride faithful or unfaithful.
Just like America is a she, and the peoples actions are a result of what she has allowed her offspring/people to become. Land is always a she such as mother-land that you are born in and the people are always sons. Such is the case of Jacob(sons) is also called Israel (the Woman) The Bible clearly states that the holy city is the Bride and wife and the children are the wedding gown and some are being tried as gold and silver as her jewels.
    Rev 19:8-9
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
    KJV
    Mal 3:16-17
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name{THE WORD}.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
    KJV
    Isa 61:10
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
    KJV

We must keep in mind, that Jesus and his holy body are the TEMPLE in the city, not the city which is the Bride that the sons birthed in the image of Christ are married to. Of course there will be others who are apart of the city
    KJV
    Rev 21:19-24
    19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
    KJV
