Around here, I need to be careful what I eat so I don't go to the neighborhood of make-believe! Sigh.

That's a pretty gnarly-looking picture there, Ziggy! Lessens my appetite! Lol

Imagine if we had no skin.. ewwww..
cranberries are good for you though.

Pomegranate. Kiwis. Mangos. Figs.

You can eat these or you can juice them. Juice carrots and beats for example.

Avoid eating sugar, salt and processed stuff like bacon.

1. All fruits and vegetables contain sugar in varying amounts.

2. DNA has a sugar-phosphate backbone as an essential component.

3. There are various kinds of sugars and all are beneficial.

I like blueberries. They grow by the tracks that ran close to the house that my Grampa built, where my mother and oldest siblings were born. This is typical of the area where I was almost born:

I guess I was supposed to be born in the big city. Sigh.

I have a couple small brooks on the property. No streams like that one.
Had a big blueberry field, we used to pick them and sell them on the side of the road and make a few dollars for the Blue Hill Fair before we would go back to Boston for the school year.
Then the man that owned the field allowed it to be clearcut and they destroyed everything. Even the old gum tree we used to tear off the dried sap and chew on is gone. And the rasberries and blackberries, all wild.

I like a bowl of blueberries with milk and a little sugar.
I think we'll be having that as a side for dinner tonight.
Dad is feeling better. Somethings working :)
Thank You Lord!
Hugs

My mother used to feed us blueberries, milk, and sugar. The picture is just downstream of my Grampa's sawmill. The creek that filled the millpond might have been 10 feet across, at it's widest. It was full of Brook Trout.
When we'd go visit, I'd take my catch to Aunt Myrtle, who lived across from the general store. I used to love going there...I never wanted to leave.
